Με την πρώτη ματιά λες τι βάρκες είναι αυτές. Μεγάλα και ογκώδη. Όταν τα πιάσεις στα χέρια σου λες ότι είναι ψεύτικα αφού ειναι πολύ ελαφριά ( 275 γραμμάρια σε νούμερο 44 κ 2/3), ενώ μόλις τα φορέσεις καταλαβαίνεις ότι υπάρχει πολλή μελέτη και σχεδιασμός πίσω από το παπούτσι.
Προορίζεται για δρομείς μεγάλων αποστάσεων που θέλουν απορρόφηση κραδασμών, συνδυάζοντας χαρακτηριστικά stability παπουτσιών. Αναλυτικότερα:
Απορροφητικότητα κραδασμών: 10/10 . Δεν συγκρίνονται με κανένα παπούτσι που έχω φορέσει στο παρελθόν (Nike vomero 9 , Nike Vomero 14, Adidas Ultraboost Solarglide, Asics Gel Kinsei). Απλά ανώτερα.
Σταθερότητα: 9/10. Εχουν αρκετά πλατύ πέλμα γεγονός που προσφέρει σίγουρο πάτημα χωρίς όμως να κουράζει. Το drop του ειναι στα 5mm σε αντίθεση με τα περισσότερα παπούτσια που είναι γύρω στα 10mm αλλά πραγματικά το παπούτσι στο τρέξιμο δεν το κουβαλάς και ο βηματισμός γίνεται χωρίς έξτρα κόπο. Δεν πηγαίνει μόνο του όπως μερικά άλλα πχ Saucony Endorphin Speed, αλλά δεν απαιτεί προσπάθεια για τον διασκελισμό. Το εντυπωσιακό είναι πως αποδίδει καλά σε αργούς και γρήγορους ρυθμούς δίνοντας πάντα την αίσθηση οτι απορροφά τους κραδασμούς εκεί που τους χρειάζεσαι, ανεξάρτητα από το πως πατάς το πόδι σου κατά τη διάρκεια του τρεξίματος. Θα ήθελα λίγο περισσότερο rebound.
Εφαρμογή : 7/10. Έχοντας πολύ στενό πόδι δεν μπόρεσα να φέρω το παπούτσι εκεί που ήθελα στο μπροστινό μέρος. Στη μέση και στη φτέρνα όλα καλά, αλλά μπροστά το πλεχτό δεν είναι ελαστικό και το πόδι κολυμπάει. Αυτό από την άλλη δίνει μεγαλύτερη αντοχή στο πλεχτό αφού δεν έρχεται σε επαφή με το πόδι, αλλά θα προτιμούσα πιο στενή εφαρμογή.
Ποιότητα υλικών: 9/10 Αναμφίβολα τα υλικά είναι πολύ καλά και πείθουν για την ποιότητα τους. Από τα αφρώδη μέρη σε γλώσσα και φτέρνα μέχρι τα κορδόνια. Αυτο που με προβλημάτισε ιδιαίτερα είναι η φθορά της σόλας. Μετά από 60 χλμ τρεξίματος σε στίβο, άσφαλτο και χαλικόδρομο υπάρχει αρκετή φθορά στο σημείο επαφής του παπουτσιού με το έδαφος όπως φαίνεται στη φωτογραφία. Δεν ξέρω πώς θα είναι μετά από 400χλμ παρά το reviews που διάβασα που δίνουν μεγάλη διάρκεια ζωής στη σόλα.
Μέγεθος. Πάρτε μισό νούμερο μεγαλύτερο σε σχέση με Nike, Adidas
Χρήση: Κατάλληλα για μεγάλες αποστάσεις, καλύτερα σε άσφαλτο και όχι σε χώμα αφού γλιστράνε λίγο και δεν πείθει τουλάχιστον για την ώρα η αντοχή της σόλας
Διαπνοή: 10/10 . Εξαιρετικό στη διαπνοή.
Σε γενικές γραμμές πολύ καλό παπούτσι. Θα επανέλθω όταν θα έχουν περισσότερα χιλιόμετρα

Τα παπούτσια έχουν πλέον 240 χιλιόμετρα τρεξίματος και η απορροφητικότητα των κραδασμών είναι στο ίδιο επίπεδο όπως και η σταθερότητα. Το πάνω μέρος δεν έχει την παραμικρή φθορά αλλά η φθορά στη σόλα είναι εμφανής. Οι 3 πρώτες φωτογραφίες είναι στα 60 χλμ και οι επόμενες στα 240 χλμ. Η πλειοψηφία των χιλιομέτρων είναι σε άσφαλτο με υψηλές θερμοκρασίες λόγω καλοκαιριού. Σε χωμάτινο μονοπάτι με ανηφοροκατηφόρες γλιστράνε πολύ και είναι ακατάλληλα.
Η άποψη μου στους υπόλοιπους τομείς παραμένει σταθερή. Εξαιρετική επιλογή για αυτόν που αναζητά απορροφητικότητα κραδασμών με σταθερότητα. Οι γρήγοροι δρομείς σίγουρα θα βρουν και καλύτερες επιλογές.

Μετά από 500 περίπου χιλιόμετρα προπόνησης μπορώ να πω ότι η σόλα έχει φθορά - έχει εξαφανιστεί σε ορισμένα σημεία το μπλε λάστιχο - αλλά σε καμία περίπτωση δεν έχει αλλοιωθεί το σχήμα της. Η απορροφητικότητα των κραδασμών έχω την εντύπωση πως έχει μειωθεί αλλά εξακολουθεί να είναι παραπάνω από επαρκής όπως και η σταθερότητα που προσφέρει. Το πάνω μέρος δεν έχει καμία φθορά ενώ εντυπωσιακό είναι πως και μετά από πολύωρα τρεξίματα δεν μυρίζουν γεγονός που καταδεικνύει την καλή τους διαπνοή.

Μετά από 700 περίπου προπονητικά και αγωνιστικά χιλιόμετρα και έχοντας πια τα hoka ως δεύτερο παπούτσι ( πρώτο πια το Saucony Τriumph 19) μπορώ να πω με σιγουριά ότι είναι ένα πολύ καλό παπούτσι, αλλά όχι τόσο καλό για γρήγορους ρυθμούς και σίγουρα όχι για χώμα. Πρώτη φορά δεν αντιμετώπισα πόνους στη μέση που δείχνει ότι σε επίπεδο κραδασμών μου έδωσε αυτό που χρειαζόμουν. Η εφαρμογή του για όσους έχουν στενό πόδι δεν θα ικανοποιήσει και μπορώ να πω ότι η φαρδιά τους γραμμή βοηθάει στην σταθερότητα αλλά όχι στην αίσθηση του παπουτσιού πάνω στο πόδι. Δυστυχώς στην Ελλάδα δεν μπορείς να βρεις παπούτσια σε διαφορετικά φάρδη, οπότε αν σας αρέσει η σφιχτή εφαρμογή και έχετε στενό πόδι δεν θα σας ταιριάξει. Τα υλικά του είναι κορυφαία, η αντοχή της σόλας μέτρια και μετά από μερικά χιλιόμετρα αρχίζει και γλιστράει (συγκριτικά με τα saucony στα ίδια χιλιόμετρα), η διαπνοή του πολύ καλή, το responsiveness έτσι και έτσι, το βάρος τους εξαιρετικό και η απορροφητικότητα από τις καλύτερες που έχω δοκιμάσει ποτέ. Η τιμή του στα 145 ευρώ είναι τσιμπημένη αλλά λίγο πιο πάνω από τα 100 θεωρώ ότι είναι τίμια σε σχέση με τον ανταγωνισμό. Αν εστιάσω στο γεγονός ότι δεν έχω πλέον πόνους στη μέση αξία ανεκτίμητη. Καλά και υγιή χιλιόμετρα σε όλους!

First time with Hoka and I am very satisfied! My size is 43.3 and 250 grams. Pleasant daily trainer for comfortable kilometers, with nice shock absorption for easy-moderate runs. Overall, it is for "slow runs" although I tried it up to a pace of 4'10/km and it had no problem. If it lasts for 1000 kilometers, which is the benchmark for my running shoes, then we are clearly talking about value for money! Edit 23/8/23: I am uploading photos from the 1,000 kilometers and the shoe is great! The cushioning remains good and the fabric is intact without any tears! Edit 20/12/23: I retired them at 1600 kilometers and now I only wear them for walks. They still look great except for the slightly worn out sole, but the fabric has no tears!

Good shoe. I had them in size 7!
I usually wear size 43.
The previous ones in size 44 never hurt me. I decided to try size 43.5, initially they hurt me a little. However, after a few workouts, they are okay and fit better on the foot.

Θελω να αρχισω λεγοντας οτι ειναι πολυ ανετα παπουτσια και οτι τα συνιστω με καποιες προυποθεσεις.
Εχω τρεξει γυρω στα 50χλμ (στο πλαισιο προπονησης για ημιμαραθωνιο) σε αυτα τα παπουτσια και αρχισα να παρατηρω οτι με ποναει ελαφρως το γονατο. Μετα απο αρκετο ψαξιμο, ανακαληψα οτι τα παπουτσια τυπου Rocker, ενω μειωνουν τις δυναμεις που ασκουνται στο πελμα, μπορει να αυξησουν τις δυναμεις που ασκουνται στα γονατα.
Ετσι, θα προτεινα για οσους τα αγορασουν να εχουν στο νου τους οτι δεν ειναι παπουτσι το οποιο το βαζεις πρωτη φορα και τρεχεις. Θελεις χρονο να το συνηθησεις για να αποφυγεις τυχων τραυματισμους.
Δε θα τα ξανα αγοραζα (90 ε) και θα πηγαινα σε κατι πιο κλασικο εστω και πιο ακριβο. (πχ Pegagus, Kayano / Οχι rocker για καθημερινη προπονηση)
Edit: Μετα απο λιγες εβδομαδες χρησης μπορω να πω οτι ειναι απο τα πιο ανετα παπουτσια που εχω δοκιμασει. Παντα υπαρχει η παραπανω επιφυλαξη ομως.

Shoe for medium distances, good fabric with breathability but a big downside is that it is very hard, plus the holes in the laces make angles and rub on the foot and the issue is that all the shoes I have from the company have the same issue, unacceptable. I use the running shoes for 8-10 hours at work for orthostasis and for everyday use. I do not use them for running, and the following review will be based on these uses.
From the Bondi 7, I found the Clifton 8 on a good offer and decided to try it. They look very similar as shoes. The Bondi just has a little more room in the toes and is softer to step on, but that doesn't mean the Clifton lacks in shock absorption. It is actually very good. The Bondi took about 10 days to break in, while this one, maybe because it is lighter and softer in its materials, felt great from the first moment I wore it.
I don't have an opinion on their durability... but I can say that the sole has a very good grip on dry surfaces.
Anyone looking for shoes for work and orthostasis, buying the Clifton (or even the Bondi) will definitely not be disappointed.

At a steady pace, they are quite stable and comfortable, but I have the impression that the previous generation, Clifton 7, was better, and this is always my personal opinion. Each foot feels it differently, and this is always subjective. I wanted to finally try a Hoka and I got the Clifton 8.
1. I ran 6km on dry asphalt. They are lightweight with great shock absorption but they caused discomfort in the arch of my foot, especially on the right sole. After a while, you get used to it but it's not pleasant.
2. I ran 9km on wet asphalt, after rain, like morning humidity.
Their performance was very poor, they were slippery. Poor grip, you lose your "pace".

This is a very good running shoe.

WARNING! This shoe is designed for individuals with a high arch. It has a rigid arch support that tightly presses against the foot. I wonder how marathon runners can wear such shoes, especially those with a normal arch. What good are the 24mm sole thickness at the forefoot when my arch is stepping on a ping pong ball! Το παπούτσι τα σπάει. Η αξιολόγηση μου είναι υποκειμενική καθώς το παπούτσι αγοράστηκε για χρήση με τρέξιμο σε διάδρομο γυμναστικής και βόλτα. Είναι άνετο, ανάλαφρο με φοβερό πάτημα και τόσο ξεκούραστο που αισθάνεσαι κατά τη βάδιση λες και σου κάνει μασάζ στο πέλμα. Στο νούμερο του εκεί που φοράω 42 αυτό που αγοράστηκε με βάση κριτικές άλλον και έκατσε τέλεια είναι το 43 1/3.

Τρέχω περίπου 10χλμ τη φορά σε άσφαλτο, δεν θα μπω σε λεπτομέρειες, θεωρώ γενικά ότι είναι φοβερό παπούτσι, το καλύτερο που έχω δοκιμάσει, ειδικά στα 80 ευρώ που ήταν σε προσφορά.
