  Excellent screen, you can feel the comfort of the curvature when compared to a non-curved ultrawide 34''. Unfortunately, within 1 month it started to have water-like effects, the display appeared distorted and then completely turned off, at unpredictable times that could last several minutes. Now I am returning it under warranty. I suppose it is one of the unusual manufacturing issues, which is why I give it 4 stars, otherwise it would deserve 5.

  I have the screen here for a year. I came from a curved 24-inch screen from another company that I was satisfied with, but I wanted something bigger. In terms of size, it is huge and makes work incredibly easy, especially for me who uses many windows. As for gaming, some games do not support such a high screen resolution and on YouTube, you will rarely find videos with such resolution. In movies, it has incredible image quality with a full screen. The response is amazing for gaming. The stand is stable and doesn't take up much space considering how big the screen is. I have it on a desk that is 1.70 by 70 and there is still plenty of space. I wouldn't change it, it's a very good choice for 500 euros

  Just bought it today 23/05/2023 from a store. Just plugged it in and two burnt pixels appeared..they are black and show up on white or green...I don't know if they will replace it...I will call tomorrow...

  24/05/2023 the warranty states 6 black or one white pixel for replacement. I only have two black ones..however, DELL was positive to replace the screen since I reported the issue as soon as I got it.. I will return with a new review.

  25/05/2023 the screen was replaced and everything is fine. I gave it a star for the inconvenience. Of course, I checked the new one on the spot before taking it.

  I was searching for weeks for a good ultrawide monitor without spending a fortune. I come from a 29" ultrawide. I was almost convinced about an IPS panel and had ordered the Hp x34. However, after reading reviews that it has an issue with text clarity because of some damn coating, I canceled it. I was very afraid of VA panels, but this one is exceptional. It has brightness, colors, a gentle curve, good clarity in text, and most importantly, it is very fast and doesn't seem to have the typical black smearing issues, at least in scrolling text there is no noticeable or annoying problem! Some other VA panels flicker the text when scrolling. I can't say for fast-paced games since I don't play, but judging from the text, I'm almost sure it will be fine. For movies, I watched a 21:9 with the lights off and enjoyed it. In a similar case, I would see the gray of the IPS. In complete darkness, there is some backlight bleed, which is normal and much less than some IPS panels where it becomes very intense. In short, you either get this expensive IPS (stay away from cheap IPS... the worst) or go for OLED. For €490, I think I made the best choice. As for the size, I was afraid that 34" would be big, but 38"-40" would be perfect. I got used to the size and the curve in one day, and I have never worked with a curved one before. I like that it is 1800r curved, it does its job by bringing the edges closer to the eye without curving your brain. As for the stand, I am completely satisfied, it does up-down and tilt. Very fast assembly.

  Since I work a lot in low lighting, I lower its brightness so I don't get blinded or dazzled. When it's time for content, the power of its 500+nits is noticeable and welcome. For those who work in very bright environments, you need its full brightness, and at this price, I don't think there is another one. I hope I saved you from a lot of research. I've been searching for 2 weeks, I've read everything from rtings and elsewhere. Monitors have become a minefield, the majority below 500 have unacceptable problems or low quality and low quality control, and good luck trying to satisfy them with the warranty, waiting months for a replacement... But this monitor rocks. Bravo to DELL.

  From the best in this price range I believe. The VA panel, if you look at it in the center, is perfect with very good colors. Its base is very sturdy and you can adjust the screen as you like. The menu is good and easy to navigate.
  Good settings:
  1. Set preset modes to standard.
  2. Set the response time to superfast.
  3. Contrast 75.
  4. Brightness 45 (it may seem a bit low, but when you open HDR it will increase).
  5. Set Smart HDR to DisplayHDR 400 and then open HDR from the windows

  Coming from an imac 27" 5k, I bought this monitor to pair it with a mac mini M1, the drop to 2K is noticeable!
  The usage is for work, movies, and not for gaming.
  The reflection of daylight behind me, facing the screen, doesn't help at all because it reflects and the curvature doesn't help with that!
  In the center, the viewing is improved.
  In low lighting, things are much better.
  As for the size, I was afraid it would be much bigger but in the end, I could have gone for a bigger one.
  In terms of quality, the screen is fine with small margins.
  I don't plan on keeping it for long and the next choice will definitely be 4K, the transition to ultra-wide appeals to me because I split the screen in half.
  I won't say if it's worth it or not because that depends on where you're coming from and what you're looking for, but ideally, for choosing a monitor, it's best to see it working up close.

  The monitor was purchased to increase productivity in office work. The ability to have a huge space to work with, thanks to the 34'' size, is invaluable. As for this specific monitor, it is comfortable to use even after many hours of usage, it has many adjustable positions to find the ideal one, and I found the PIP function particularly useful, as it allows you to connect a second PC and have both sources displayed simultaneously. I don't play games, so I don't have an opinion, nor do I have much knowledge to understand the differences from other monitors. Due to its size and the way it is supported on the stand, the monitor "moves" with the slightest movement of the desk (even with typing). It's not something dramatic, but you notice it. The curvature is 1800R, I would prefer it to be 1000R (even more pronounced).

  Considering the market in this category, I think the price at 499 is good.

  For those who are undecided between 32 inches 4K or 34 2K (I was also in this dilemma), I would say go for the 34'' especially if you are looking for increased productivity. The format is ideal for working with multiple files and having multiple browser windows open, etc.

  The only thing I regret is not going for a 34'' earlier.

  Edit: After a few days of use, I have noticed significant ghosting, especially when scrolling on websites and in Word/Excel. It's definitely not a deal breaker, but I am deducting one star. Also, at this time (Jan 2022), it is unavailable in the market, presumably due to general supply chain disruptions in the electronics industry.

  Would I buy it again? Definitely yes.
  Do I recommend it? Definitely yes.

  It is the most honest and balanced VA on the market. I got it for photo and video editing and of course gaming. The custom calibration is very good and with a few small adjustments, you have extremely good color accuracy. In gaming, it is simply perfect as stated in the specs. I run it with an i7 10700k, Aorus 2080 ti extreme, and 32GB RAM at 3200hz. At 120hz, everything is maxed out and it feels great... At 144hz, if you don't want to lose 5 fps, you can make a small compromise and lower the settings from max to high, but trust me, it's not even noticeable. It has all the ports and features for a modern monitor... At the price of 470, it feels like I stole it.

  As for those who have IPS screens in mind, don't hesitate, this VA is very powerful and a good investment for the future.

  I have had it for two months, I mainly use it for gaming but also for work. It is truly impressive. The colors are very good and coming from an old LG monitor with IPS, I can say that I did not notice any difference in them except for black, which is better on this one. The only negative thing I found is a slight ghosting that occurs in Word, especially when scrolling or typing. It is not noticeable in games. The 1800R curvature is quite good for gaming and I did not feel it affecting my work. I would also like to mention that the stand is awesome, as it can be adjusted for roll, yaw, and height, and it is made of high-quality plastic externally and iron where the pieces are connected. The menu is quite convenient and after downloading and trying the Dell application, I would recommend not bothering with it as it has the same settings as the menu. And something important, the warranty does not cover 1 dead pixel (I think it was from 5 and above), but it covers bright ones if there are any. I do not consider this a problem, as Dell is a reliable company with very good customer service and so far I have not seen any reviews for their monitors that say they had a problem upon delivery. So instead of getting an AOC and running to fight for your rights, get this one and you will be fine. As I imagine, it is obvious that I would recommend it to anyone interested.
