The electric vacuum cleaner DS 5.800 Water Filter by Karcher, has a bin with a capacity of 2 liters, which can either be emptied and washed when full (thanks to its transparency and the ability to see when it needs emptying), or can be emptied directly into the trash.
Another important advantage of a bagless vacuum cleaner is that it saves money in the long run, as you no longer need to buy replacement bags.
Additionally, thanks to the special filter it has, which captures dust, pollutants, and allergens, you will have cleaner air in your space during its operation.
The long 10.2 meter cable makes vacuuming easier as you don't need to interrupt its operation to change the socket.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
The vacuum cleaner is very good with a quiet motor at the beginning (after two and a half years the sound hardens), the water filter it has is a big advantage in the field of allergies, the downside is that it is large in size, but a very good vacuum cleaner!
Excellent... a bit expensive (253) but it does an incredible job. Especially anyone who has a pet should have such a broom. It doesn't let anything escape and collects everything in the water of the bucket.
We are a family of 4, my children are still babies and I needed a good vacuum cleaner that would pick up everything, liquids, dust, and solids. I have removed the cat and dog outside because of the children, but the vacuum cleaner is selective and for that reason, everything is filtered through 7 points, odorless and hypoallergenic. After 1 year of use, I can say that I am completely satisfied with this vacuum cleaner. I highly recommend it :)
I received it with a cable that didn't come out at first and didn't collect afterwards. I was asked at my own expense to send it to a service center and also to pick it up at my own expense as there was no service center in my area. Expensive and faulty vacuum cleaner that they wouldn't fix for free. The bin needs to be changed after each cleaning. Trouble.
The filter that it has in the bin is very expensive, 35 euros, and also add the liquid so that it does not produce foam. Also, the only negative thing is that it doesn't break easily, of course. I have had it for about 2 years and now it is leaking water with the cable, it doesn't come out completely. I will go to the service to see what I will do.
The vacuum cleaner is ideal for getting rid of dust, as it surpasses bagged vacuums due to its water technology. Despite being 1800W, it has satisfactory power and cleans fabrics, floors, or demanding carpets excellently.
However, the buyer needs to know the following:
- It is not suitable for duplex apartments because it is not easy to carry up and down stairs due to the water tank. It is not particularly heavy (it holds about 700ml of water), but it has volume.
- The water tank should be cleaned after each use; otherwise, there will be problems with vacuuming or due to odor.
- Compared to other vacuums, it is not as flexible in movements between furniture due to its volume.
Despite the mentioned disadvantages, the vacuum cleaner has excellent construction, is clearly superior to traditional ones, and is worth its money.
UPDATE: 2 years later
- It is not easy to assemble the water tank every time you need it.
- Compared to other vacuums, it is heavier and less flexible in movements between furniture. My wife no longer uses it because of this.
- It is very important that it does not have a bag.
- After 2 years, the performance has not decreased since I regularly change the filter (around €30 per year).
- Conclusion: In my opinion, you should also have a conventional bagged vacuum ready for whenever you need it
For anyone looking for a quality product and has allergy problems, this is the ultimate vacuum cleaner!! High absorbency, unique construction quality, and easy to use, although a bit bulky. Compared to common commercial vacuum cleaners, there is no dust at all. For anyone with allergy problems, this is the ultimate product. If you want to spend money on something really good, this product is truly worth it. The only downside is the noise, but you won't be sleeping with it!!! Despite being bulky, it is easy to store and its accessories are integrated into the vacuum cleaner. No matter how much we say we won't buy German products, the bitter truth is that their quality is above average!! A similar vacuum cleaner with the same characteristics was offered to me for the outrageous amount of 1,600.00 euros.
I ended up buying this particular vacuum cleaner after a lot of searching. But let's start from the beginning. I am a man, single, with a dog roaming around the house. Now imagine... hair, dust everywhere, and vacuuming every 2 days!! Suddenly, on a Sunday, my old vacuum cleaner that I had for 10 years started spewing hair and dust from the motor. It was a disaster, to say the least. So, I started reading about vacuums.. Oh my God!! I sat down and calculated the expenses of a regular bag vacuum. Due to frequent use, I was buying bags every month. 14 euros for 4 bags, please! Cost over the course of a year? The same as buying a new vacuum cleaner! So, as an ignorant person that I am, I was suggested to look into a water tank vacuum. I said to myself: Karcher, a German company with years of experience in cleaning products such as pressure washers, steam cleaners, and professional vacuums. The cost of the vacuum is the same as 2 years' worth of bags for a regular vacuum, and it is certified for allergy sufferers!! I thought, why not give it a try..
The positives:
1) Tremendous suction power. It literally feels like it will pull the tiles off the floor.
2) Odorless, more than you can imagine.
3) Its hypoallergenic action is its strong point.
4) It has a very large range of action.. 6 meters of cable and another 3 with the spiral hose and nozzle.
5) It comes with 3 different attachments, one of which is for sofas and mattresses.
6) Not a single hair or speck of dust reaches the main filter (it has 2, one in the tank and one HEPA 12 in the motor). All the dirt is trapped in the water tank. You have to see with your own eyes the color of the water and its contents after use. You won't believe what you breathe in every day.
The negatives:
1) It doesn't have speed adjustment or surface selection like other vacuums in the same price range. Personally, I don't care at all because I don't have carpets and I wanted something powerful to remove hair from everywhere. And it does that and more!
2) Due to working in turbo mode, it is a bit noisy. It doesn't bother me because I have my dog making a fuss whenever the vacuum starts. However, if you have babies or frequent headaches, the risk is yours..
And an extra tip. You can add a drop or two of your favorite essential oil to the water tank and your house will smell like you just sprayed air freshener.
In conclusion, after 2 weeks of use, I am very satisfied and I don't regret, for now, splurging on it.
Now think again about what I said. A man, single, with a dog, writing a review about a vacuum cleaner. The conclusions are yours to draw..
