Owner of this fan for a year now. Fully familiar with it and ready to leave a comprehensive review. So here we go:
***** POWER CONSUMPTION *****
I decided to take some measurements to inform potential buyers about the consumption based on the operating scale (intensity). More specifically:
- At the 1st scale, the consumption is 1.2W
- At the 2nd scale, the consumption is 1.3W
- At the 3rd scale, the consumption is 1.4W
- At the 4th scale, the consumption is 2.5W
- At the 5th scale, the consumption is 2.9W
- At the 6th scale, the consumption is 3.2W
- At the 7th scale, the consumption is 3.4W
- At the 8th scale, the consumption is 3.7W
- At the 9th scale, the consumption is 4.4W
- At the Turbo scale, the consumption is 14.6W
In all the above, an additional 1.2W is added if the automatic rotation is enabled. To make these numbers more understandable, I simply mention that a mobile charger (slow charging) consumes approximately 15W consistently, even more than the Turbo function of this fan. Another point of comparison is that during 2 days of continuous operation, the total consumption was 0.02KWh (at the 3rd intensity scale). As it becomes apparent from all the above, the consumption is almost negligible.
***** NOISE *****
- For scales 1, 2, 3, the noise is literally negligible. And when I say negligible, I mean in an environment of complete silence, like at night, with all other devices turned off.
- Scales 4, 5, 6 are completely silent during working hours, meaning a laptop or a computer make more noise.
- Scales 7, 8, 9 simply make the presence of the fan noticeable during working hours. Nothing annoying.
- The Turbo scale makes as much noise as it should considering the air it blows, meaning quite a lot. You can imagine a computer with its fans at maximum to understand the type of noise. It is noteworthy that no mechanical noise is heard at any scale. Whatever is heard is purely due to the airflow.
***** AIRFLOW *****
- Scales 1, 2, 3 create a gentle breeze, perfect for sleeping hours.
- Scales 4, 5, 6 are ideal for working hours on normal days (temperature below 35 degrees Celsius).
- Scales 7, 8, 9 are for the hottest days when the heat is unbearable. The airflow produced is sufficient.
- The Turbo scale, I would say, is not suitable for a small room due to the amount of air it produces (very high intensity). It is an ideal scale for a living room, especially in combination with the automatic rotation of the head.
***** OPERATION *****
The buttons on the fan's panel are touch-sensitive and not backlit. This is a feature that I did not like, as it is more difficult to press the right button in the dark, and touch-sensitive buttons are more prone to damage compared to conventional buttons. However, the fact that the remote control provides exactly the same options as the panel makes the use of the panel rare. Nevertheless, it is something that could be improved. Additionally, the head has the ability to rotate automatically on the horizontal axis (60 or 90 or 120 degrees), and there is the option of manual rotation on the vertical axis.
***** BUILD QUALITY *****
It is almost entirely made of high-quality plastic. The only parts that do not appear to be plastic are its base, which is metallic and particularly heavy, keeping the fan very stable in its position during operation. The truth is that due to its price, I expected better quality materials, however, I must say that its plastic parts are of good quality and do not creak like in other cheaper models.
Closing the review, I consider this fan to be slightly overpriced (it was purchased for 90 euros). However, its energy efficiency and comfort in terms of noise levels and air intensity are excellent, earning it 5 stars. There are areas for improvement that I mentioned above, but they can easily be overlooked considering the positives.
