The post-communist Russia found itself in the midst of a major political and economic crisis in the 1990s, which raised doubts about the country's future. Today, Russia seeks a leading role in the international system. However, the ongoing recovery of Russia raises significant questions that need to be answered through scientific investigation. The texts in this volume are written by Greek and foreign researchers and thoroughly examine aspects of modern Russia, specifically the Russian political system, the interdependent relationship between the Oligarchs and the Kremlin, the present and future of the Russian economy, Moscow's energy strategy towards the "Old" and "New" Europe, and the content of Russian foreign policy in the post-Cold War world.
