sound quality quite good and the connection with the console and generally (mobile, tablet, etc.)
build quality terrible in two years the leather on the cushions broke and the worst part is that the microphone stand broke with no particular use.
Personally, stay away!
not worth it.
Very good headphones, the sound is always clear, the microphone is very high quality and the best part is that it has chat and game control. I bought the Dolby Atmos and it's great for games
Very good headphones with pretty good sound and bass, especially for their price and especially if you catch them on sale. The only negative is their battery life. At full volume, connected to the computer through the Xbox adapter, they last barely eight hours, but at least they charge quickly.
I love these headphones. The reasons are as follows:
1. They have very good speakers and you can hear rich sound.
2. They can be connected simultaneously to the Xbox (series, one) and another Bluetooth device (mobile, tablet, computer, Nintendo Switch, etc.).
3. The microphone quality is very good.
4. It has the ability to auto mute when you're not speaking, so your friends won't hear annoying noises.
5. You can lift the microphone and "hide" it next to the headphones. This means you can wear them while on the metro/bus.
6. As soon as you open the headphones, the Xbox automatically turns on.
7. It supports Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic, DTS:X (these can be activated by purchasing applications on Xbox/PC).
Notes:
1. When you open them, they won't have a battery, so you'll need to charge them for about 3 hours.
2. Make sure to do the firmware update through the Xbox (xbox accessories).
3. They don't have an audio jack, so be careful. Xbox Wireless (connection type) + Bluetooth is the only way to connect, it doesn't connect with any cables.
After many hours of gaming on the Series X, and initially having negative feelings about these headphones, I reconsidered regarding the sound quality. With the proper equalizer settings through the Xbox Accessories application, Microsoft's headphones deliver excellent sound. The Dolby Sound & DTS X applications available in the store enhance the quality, as they are compatible with Dolby Atmos & DTS-X, despite being stereo. I have included photos with the settings I made for game mode, as the default game preset is very flat, with all frequencies in a straight line, making the sound quality undefined without color and emphasis on details. If you wish, try the settings I have made for the Series X console, which increase the treble and midrange, and decrease the bass significantly, as the bass in the initial settings is overpowering and drowns out all other sounds. I consider this setting to be quite good for games like BF 2042 and overall FPS games like Cod Warzone, etc., and it will satisfy you.
In general, you can say that they are worth their money! You can't call them value for money, but they are honest. Don't expect to find something better in terms of quality and capabilities with 100 euros. I have owned headphones that cost 250+ euros as well as ones that cost 50 euros... I think it would be tiring to analyze each characteristic separately (sound quality in gaming, music, microphone, etc.) since it is also a matter of taste. However, I have given it 3 stars because they are by far the most tiring headphones I have ever worn! One reason is that I wear glasses! After two hours, I get a headache and this has never happened to me before! With a helmet on my head for the same amount of time, I feel less fatigue... Those of you who wear glasses, honestly, should look into this issue. For the rest, I highly recommend them if they know exactly what to expect from headphones at this price!!! Good gaming to everyone!!!
I have them connected to my PC with a dongle and to my Tablet with Bluetooth SIMULTANEOUSLY and I can hear the game I'm playing from the PC and Discord from the Tablet at the same time :) For those who don't have the dongle, you can only listen to one source at a time, meaning if you connect them to the PC with Bluetooth, you will only hear the game and not Discord. With the dongle, there is no issue, you can hear everything.
I got them for use with my Windows 11 PC.
Initially, I didn't have the Xbox Adapter for Windows, so I connected them via Bluetooth.
For some reason, they defaulted to hands-free mode (much lower sound quality, intended for calls).
The only solution was to disable the microphone from the sound control, and then they would enter normal mode.
In the end, I had to get the Xbox Adapter for Windows (which was not available separately anywhere, so I got a bundle with an extra controller) and now everything is fine.
Nice sound, maybe slightly lacking in bass, plastic quality is good, but the Bluetooth implementation on Windows is unacceptable.
I was looking for a wireless headset that could connect to both the XBOX series S and a computer for several weeks. Its price was 120-130 euros, but it dropped to 80 and with the reviews from Skroutz, I made the MISTAKE of buying it, as it seemed like an opportunity.
WARNING! Whatever I write below is ONLY for PC and NOT for XBOX, so you don't fall into the same trap as I did.
So, Microsoft advertises as a "feature" of this headset that with the lever on the left earphone, you can "play" with the volume of the game you're playing and with the voice chat program you're using (Discord, Teamspeak, etc). That is, if the game is too loud and you can't hear your friends, you turn it down a bit and leave it there. SURPRISE that awaited me from day one: I connect them via Bluetooth, play Youtube, Spotify, Discord. Very good and clear sound.
THE PROBLEM, however, is that as soon as I ran some games, as soon as the game sound started, the Discord / Youtube or whatever else I had in the background would stop or vice versa, I could hear Discord and Youtube normally but not the game, trying ALL possible settings. I did EVERYTHING in the Sound Settings to fix it, and the only thing that worked for everything to play was to disable the one function that makes the sound TERRIBLE. After many google searches, I found that this issue has been present in the community since 2021!!!! and without a solution. Many people have this problem, it's UNBELIEVABLE.
The funny thing is that I couldn't find this problem anywhere in all the reviews I looked at, apparently the only way to find it is to buy them and ONLY AFTER experiencing it, do a google search to find it and feel the bitterness :/
3 stars because I experience sudden disconnections with the Xbox Series S after random periods of time, even when it is fully charged. I tried pairing it again and again with no success. The build quality is very good, as well as the sound.
I have a big head with several earrings in my ears and the truth is that I expected them to cause me problems but they didn't bother me much (and if I had a problem somewhere, it was the hanging ones that were pressing on the sponge, not the headphones themselves). Nice bass although sometimes it has unnecessary tremble. Personally, they are the best in this price range.
The battery and the microphone are very good, I use them simultaneously for all work calls and yet I forget to charge it. If there is no sound for a while, the headphones shut down. Obviously, they save a lot of battery from this sleep feature.
The headphones work seamlessly with both Xbox and computer with simultaneous connection. Priority is given to computer sounds. When someone calls on the computer, the Xbox is automatically muted and you start the call without surprises.
Negatives:
- They are tight on my head and put pressure on me after prolonged use.
- They have a slightly more aggressive sleep mode than I would like
I have bought many expensive headphones in my life. You know, those that cost 200+ euros and above. This MICROSOFT one beats them all. Without exaggeration, I simply can't believe that something like this is happening with headphones that cost 100 euros.
They are so good that I sold the ones I had and bought 2. One for my PC and one for my XBOX SERIES X.
I also share my own review through XBOX Hellas.
Today we will talk about two models of Microsoft headphones.
After a year of using the wireless Xbox Wireless Headset from Microsoft, we decided to get their smaller sibling, the wired Xbox Stereo Headset.
At first, they seemed less quality, like they were lighter. But we were deceived due to the difference in weight from the batteries they don't have.
Their significant differences are:
* The wired ones are lighter because they don't have batteries.
* The wireless one has an additional Chat/Game audio balance dial on the left side. The wired one doesn't have it.
* The wireless one has a push on/off button with an indicator light for the microphone function. The wired one has an on/off switch without an indicator light.
* Also, the wired ones have the connection cable.
Other than that, they are exactly the same in terms of quality and sound characteristics that we tested.
Both support Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, as stated by Microsoft, but we confirmed it by testing on Xbox Series X and Xbox One S. Here we should note that (for the wired ones, when connected to the Xbox GamePad) if you have made the necessary settings on your console, the sound comes out of the headphones with Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X. So, you don't need a TV with support for the above sound protocols.
The ear cushions are quite soft and don't press on you at all since they are Over-Ear, just like the headband cushion.
For the wired ones, they have also released a new anniversary edition for the 20 years of Xbox, called the 20th Anniversary Special Edition, but it has an additional cost of around €10.
Of course, they could have had the wired ones at a lower cost because by adding something extra, you get the wireless ones.
Overall, we were quite satisfied with both options, which we highly recommend for Microsoft fans.
Now you might say that for the same money, you can get something better. Yes, but everyone has their own preferences.
Their construction is of high quality, identical to the plastic of the Xbox Series X controller (whoever has it understands). They are comfortable with nice sound, except that the bass is excessive to the point of becoming tiring. One big positive is that while playing a game on the Xbox, you can connect to your mobile and have a call or listen to music simultaneously. On the other hand, you notice a minimal delay between the image and the sound. Logical since they are wireless, but at least with the console they are perfectly compatible with, they should have zero delay. As for whether they are worth their money, I would say only for Xbox owners. For external use, music, and so on, there are much better options.
Good sound. Very helpful that it connects to Xbox and mobile simultaneously and you have dual sound in your ears. You can talk on the phone and relax and play at the same time. The only negative thing I have to note is that compared to the Kraken I had before, these are more uncomfortable and there is a slight pressure on the ears and head. They are worth their money though.
Very good headphones, VERY powerful bass (for my standards), very user-friendly switches for sound - it doesn't have a +/- button but the whole side round part rotates, which means you can easily adjust the sound ratio (game-voice chat) on the left and the overall sound intensity on the right. It's nice that if they are paired, they also open the XBOX from the headphones.
They are also quite tight (they are new, okay), they isolate the sound very well and their only negative is that the leather makes you sweat if you wear them for a long time and there is no ventilation - which happens though in all headphones that don't have fabric.
If you find them, grab them, they are worth it but I realize that it is extremely difficult to find them available
Very good headphones with good sound, very convenient that for V+, V- you don't search for buttons but you turn the whole headphone.
They are of very good quality and connect with a laptop and mobile via Bluetooth.
The only negative is that when you open them, the XBOX automatically opens as well, I hope they fix it with a firmware update.
The headphones are amazing for what they offer for the price they ask. Awesome sound quality and very good bass, instant connectivity with the console as well as any other Bluetooth supported device. You can have 2 devices connected at the same time and listen, on the console and either pc-tablet-mobile etc.
The build quality is impeccable, the Volume -+ on the right headphone is everything since you no longer need to go into menus to adjust the volume if you had headphones that didn't have this feature before.
The battery surprised me, here I should note that they come from the factory with an empty battery, which means they need to be connected with a cable the first time, otherwise they won't turn on. Also, as soon as they are connected to the console, they will do a firmware update. I charged the headphones for 25 minutes, played for 4 hours and they still showed that they had power, they hadn't gone red. MS says that with half an hour of charging they give you 4 hours of gameplay, and with a full charge that takes about 3 hours, they give you 15 hours of uninterrupted gameplay. Flawless.
In terms of ergonomics and comfort, for my taste they are simply perfect and they don't tire me even after 5 hours of continuous gameplay.
Also, like every Xbox controller, when you press the central button, the console automatically turns on, so here there is this feature with the headphones as well. There is only one issue there, if you want to use it on a device other than the console and you go to turn it on, it will automatically turn on the console as well. For now, until they do a firmware update and put a power button for this feature, what you can do is unpair them, desynchronize them from the console before turning it off.
Honest and absolute value for the money for those looking for build quality, perfect connectivity, wireless connection, ergonomics and autonomy in a package for €99.
