Description

The speakers BR03 from the company Triangle Characterized as bookshelf speakers because they are placed on a shelf or special base, which is sold separately. In this category usually belong the main speakers of a sound system, but due to their small size they can also be used as peripherals for better sound simulation. The power and impedance of them are 100W RMS and 8Ω respectively, which means they can be connected to an amplifier with the corresponding characteristics. This is a speaker 2 way, meaning the sound frequencies are reproduced by two speakers, one tweeter for the high frequencies and one woofer for the low frequencies.

I easily put five stars. I only play them with a turntable and a powerful 2*10 watt lamp. The sound is incredible. However, it took them a while to settle. It took two months for them to play perfectly. So, whoever buys them, be patient. Don't get disappointed, they need their time. I would easily buy them again

High-quality speakers in terms of construction and finish, and quite large for shelf placement. Clean warm sound with accurately defined fast bass, full clear midrange, and properly emphasized highs. It doesn't overdo it anywhere. It fills a space of about 35 sqm with the Yamaha 501 just fine. Even during extended listening sessions at high volume, it doesn't fatigue. However, it may be somewhat expensive.

I bought these speakers this year and, because I was very satisfied, I wanted to write my own review to help undecided buyers. The speakers are great, as most people say, but the review should always be accompanied by the use and need that the buyer wants. So, I found them perfect for the following use:
    1. I use them for TV speakers, both for movies and gaming. I wanted to move away from the 5.1 logic and go for something simpler and higher quality. And it worked! A thousand times this setup I have, rather than Dolby technology, with ready-made 5.1 solutions that have laughable speakers. Of course, if you can afford to spend €10,000 to make a 5.1 with such quality speakers, then of course go for it. But for more conventional solutions and a cost of €1,000 to €1,500, which is very respectable, I would recommend anyone to go for a 2.0 setup instead of a better 5.1. Because the money for 6 speakers is still not enough.
    2. My setup is in a 4x4m gaming room. It's not in the living room, so I didn't need louder sound but rather higher quality. I don't care about their performance in terms of volume (which is still excellent), but I want crystal-clear sound at lower volumes.
    3. I also use them for music, but with poor sources like Spotify, so it wasn't worth spending more money. For someone who wants to use vinyl, they may not be satisfied.
    4. I live in an apartment, so I wanted to avoid floor speakers. I preferred to go for bookshelf speakers, which I have on the furniture under the SONY OLED BRAVIA I bought. At first, I was looking for something similar but three-way. However, the poor audio sources I use didn't justify the cost, so I stayed with a two-way category. Attention: In such use, place them on a layer of felt. It absorbs vibrations and helps a lot!
    5. As it became clear, I wanted an all-in-one setup that would cover all my needs for a playroom. I was amazed!!
Overall, the speakers are very good for their price. I paired them with the Audiolab 6000A PLAY amplifier, which is very good for these speakers, but I did it to have the option to upgrade in the future. I highly recommend them!!

This review is about the colour: Brown

It is one of the most highly rated speakers on the network. There, one can refer to any information.
However, let me explain why I chose this speaker and not another.
    1) I wanted my sound needs to be covered by a large volume base speaker with 6-inch midbass, without using a subwoofer.
    2) Although there is a CD player, music playback will mainly be done through Spotify Premium. So, it doesn't make much sense to go for a higher price category.
    3) The safest option for speakers is to listen to them in your own space with your own amplifier. Since that cannot be done, listening to speakers in a studio with other equipment doesn't offer anything. Therefore, we start searching the internet for speakers with many positive reviews in order to limit the factor of personal taste or interest of each reviewer. These specific speakers, except for 3 reviews (which I do not consider reliable for different reasons), have a multitude of positive to rave reviews.
    4) Coming from the amazing dali spektor 2 for their price, I wanted to follow the same proven path of sound reproduction on a larger scale: decent bass and treble, but the best possible midrange frequencies. I believe that in music, everything is found in the midrange. The lows are there to accompany and the highs to add color.
    5) There is no area where the speaker significantly lacks, and it has a homogeneity where nothing "stands out."
    6) Regarding the general character of the speaker, it is velvety neutral or bright, where the speakers are distinguished in the final analysis in recent years, we go for neutral towards slightly bright, which is the safest choice if you don't have the ability to listen to the speakers in your space with your amplifier.
    7) And last but not least, my amplifier is the iotavx sa3, and the pairing with these specific speakers is considered ideal and top-notch in this price category.

Update, now that the speaker has settled.
What impresses in this speaker is the voices, especially the female voices, which are projected in front of the rest of the orchestra with exceptional naturalness, better than speakers of much higher prices that I have heard.
As for the rest, I believe they can be played with an amplifier up to 35 watts, and in spaces from 20 to 30 square meters, not smaller. The fact that the bass reflex is located in front below the grille (which I remove when listening) has the advantage that no dust enters the interior.
The cone diaphragm is made of white paper, so I suppose it is not easily cleaned and over time it will get dirty.

And a general observation: the recordings in most Greek productions are poor. They seem to be made to be heard only from a computer, mobile, or at most in the car. For someone who exclusively listens to Greek music, I would recommend going for less transparent speakers that tolerate bad recordings more.

    Verified purchase

This review is about the colour: Black

First of all, let me say that the text is lengthy because anyone who enters the process and sees it might think they are looking for speakers, so I might help them a little more in their selection.

After a lot of searching for bookshelf speakers up to about 500 euros, I ended up with the Triangle BR03 based on everything I saw and heard on the internet.
The speakers require many hours of breaking in to show what they can do.
Once these hours were completed, they pleasantly surprised me. I didn't expect it!
Excellent flat midrange without coloring and with great accuracy. On the other hand, the highs at first don't catch your eye, but you quickly realize that they are there to complement the already wonderful sound, without taking the lead and being more emphasized like in other speakers I've heard. This is neither positive nor negative, it's purely a matter of taste. I like it as a whole, but it's definitely not their strong point.
I have purchased various items from Skroutz, but I have never written a review.

The reason I'm writing this one is only one, and it's called the Triangle's bass!

The low frequencies of this small speaker play perfectly for its cost.

I should mention that I have floor-standing speakers with double the value, 200 watts, sensitivity of 94db at 6Ω, and I can't hear them.
Of course, I don't mean how low they can go.
But up to where they reach, you are shocked by how stable, powerful, clean, and without boomy bass this speaker is. It's like playing with a small but very high-quality subwoofer!
In the end, I made the right choice without having heard it before, while I had the option of the Klipsch rp600m, which I have heard and is a pretty good speaker at its current price (500), but not for more.
In comparison between the two, I think the Triangle is better because it may excel in details (depending on each person's taste), but not in the lows where the BR03 is leagues ahead, I think to any ear!
Of course, I recommend it, as long as you have the patience to properly break it in.

Update: 04/04/2021. The speakers have left me fully satisfied and have improved greatly over time. They are not for parties but for quality listening. I drive them with the Marantz PM6007 and Audioquest rocket-11 cables, and the result is almost perfect, considering that the total value is below 1000 euros.
