Very easy and fast to install and convenient compatibility with the DeepCool fans I had, so I didn't need the adapter. The only issue I had was with the remote control. Opening the lid for the batteries is relatively difficult, especially if it's inside. Mine seemed faulty at first, but then it started working. Also, the range is a bit low since the antennas are positioned the way you hold it in your hand, and for them to communicate, there should be few things in between. You can also connect the Reset Button and change the modes, but not the intensity speed or brightness.
