Good game 5/5, worth it because it is also a Greek effort - I write this as a Games Workshop collector for 30+ years
Very difficult instructions and too many to the point where you quickly lose interest to play. I regret buying it
The game could have been great if the Ottomans didn't have the role of extras in the gameplay. They don't have a significant role. The only way to make the game interesting is for the players to start fighting each other. If everyone cooperates, there is no resistance from the Ottomans, resulting in the game not pulling you in to play and win.
Excellent game, I have enjoyed it very much. You can also play solo since the Turks play by themselves. The only negative thing is some ambiguities, even in the new instructions. So, everyone needs to make 1-2 house rules. Other than that, it's perfect. Bravo to the company.
There is a video on YouTube that will quickly make you understand how it is played. It is indeed of good quality.
Our classic Risk but in a version for 1821 with a few differences from the classic Risk, where you only play as the Greeks and not the Turks, unlike the regular version, and the player with the most points-reputation is the winner.
The pieces are of very good quality for the price of the board, miniatures, cards, the supplementary insert for the revolution figures, the only drawback is the rules that confuse you a bit more, fortunately they fixed it in the next edition and you can download them from the DESYLLA website.
It's worth getting it not only for commemorative reasons and history, but it's also a nice game for your collection and it's worth supporting a Greek effort by Greek board game manufacturers.
The game is very good and relevant to this year's 200th anniversary. Perhaps the best one released to cater to adult board game enthusiasts. Very good quality of the miniatures and relatively low price for what it offers. Indeed, the rules were quite confusing for those who bought it at the beginning of the year. However, the company has since corrected the rules and the new ones are available on the website with more details and clarifications.
It was gifted to children living abroad, with a Greek mother and a Swiss father, and they enjoyed it.
Ideal for such cases, for these children to familiarize themselves with topics of Greek history.
It is worth every euro you spend on buying it! And only the figures are worth more money! Tremendous board game, congratulations to the company that produced such a high-quality board game! Very good construction, left me satisfied in every way!
The child has the opportunity to learn by playing the map of Greece, historical events of 1821 (there is a book with the heroes) and have fun with a mildly strategic game. The map, the little soldiers, and the book are of high quality. The rules create some ambiguity in certain points and require some corrections.
The game is not bad. Quite the opposite.
The rules are simple. Like those of Risk.
The fact that it can be played against the game is not necessarily a bad thing. Especially for 2 players, it is a special convenience.
What is missing and could have been set up a little better would be the ability for someone to play as the Turks or instead of having 4 Greek "sides," there could be allied sides (like the English in the Ionian Islands) with a different agenda, etc. The infrastructure is there though.
Even so, supplementary rules or card decks could still be released.
As mentioned below, the rules have several shortcomings and you have to define the rules yourself. It's in a risk style but you have an opponent and that's where you lose it.
The rules of the game have many shortcomings. Essentially, if you buy it, you will have to come up with your own rules.
Congratulations to the company for the idea! It is worth acquiring! Personal involvement with board games for 25 years now.

Very good. I would highly recommend it
It is very good tabletop game. However, I would like more cards for more replayability.

I didn't particularly like the game
It's a pity the instructions are incomprehensible both for a child and an adult.
