After a year with minimal use, the connections of the product broke at the beginning (where the cable starts), resulting in no colors playing at all. As soon as you move the cable, the colors change because the internal wires make contact. Unacceptable for so much money!!
It does not stick well. The lighting is not intense and cannot achieve white. Better to go for something more expensive, of better quality.
Very good LED strip. Definitely worth its money. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it came off quite quickly from the wood edge where I had stuck it, after about 1-1.5 months. But it can be fixed, so it's a minor issue. Approved!
We use this LED strip on TV furniture at home. We started with the living room and gradually placed it behind large furniture (sideboard, large chest of drawers, etc.). It makes a big difference at night, especially in winter when it gets dark early to have the LED strip on with some nice lighting in the rooms where you sit either watching TV or doing some activity (coffee with friends, board games with the child, etc.). I also have some seasonal depression especially in winter and it helps me to have yellow-orange lighting on in combination with the other lights in the room. I have created saved colors for various functions. For example, a specific yellow-orange that reminds me of the summer sun, a nice cool white-blue that cools the room in the summer, a dark soft blue for the series we watch at night and may even make me fall asleep in front of the TV and I don't mind, some intense colors for days when I want to change the style of the room, etc. We got the first LED strip 3 years ago and it is still stable behind the TV furniture and works 5-10 hours every day depending on the season. Also for Christmas decoration you just put the strips on color rotation and you have ready lights! We have also mounted all the TVs in the house on the wall and let's say a "light zone" is created between the furniture and the TV. I consider it very good value for money just for the psychological uplift.
There is no better option for collaboration with iOS in general. There is a variety of movies that work with Apple's Home, and this one works flawlessly
I tried to connect to the application with Android and iPad, but it was impossible no matter what. I also tried other applications, but still couldn't connect. I can only control it with the built-in switch.
I give it 2 stars only for its functionality with Apple HomeKit. I mainly use it for Apple HomeKit. After 1 year of use, it started to not synchronize and requires a reset. And this happens constantly every week. The mystery is that I have 2 identical ones and they both become unsynchronized at the same time. Maybe they received an update and everything got messed up. Generally, any Xiaomi products I have purchased for HomeKit underperform. With their own applications, everything seems to work correctly. The adhesive didn't hold up, so I got double-sided tape and it's fine.

The whole issue is resolved by disconnecting it from the socket for a while. The same thing happens with a Xiaomi lamp that I have. Unfortunately, all Xiaomi smart devices experience this issue with Apple HomeKit
The kelvin lights are all over the place. The other smart lights (yeelight, xiaomi, tp-link) agree on the temperatures, but this LED strip doesn't come close. Also, when you lower the brightness intensity, the kelvin also decreases
After 3 years, it still works perfectly.
The only 2 negatives are the adhesive and how strong the lighting is. I used it for hidden lighting and to be honest, I expected it to be brighter. As for the adhesive on the tape, it stopped working after 6 months and I will probably need to use adhesive tape.
Because I happened to want it for under the bed and the transformer is on the top part of the bed, but basically wherever it was, the noise it makes would be annoying!!!! I have put it on another WiFi socket to completely turn it off so it doesn't make noise... tragic! Oh, and the fact that it doesn't have the option of white light, right? The previous model had it normally, just like the bulbs... if I knew these things, I would buy the old model again!!
Very useful and nice product for hidden space lighting. Easy connection and operation with Xiaomi's app. The only negative for me is that it doesn't have a white lighting option, but it's not necessary.
Easy application and nice colors. It also has an android app for remote control. The light just doesn't have much intensity, meaning it's for decorative use. I got it for office lighting but it's not enough.
One thing I will say... they consume 1/10 of the electricity compared to a fluorescent lamp and still provide the same level of brightness to the room, especially if we're talking about a small room, storage space, or simply a TV/computer furniture. Because we have consistently low power consumption, it seemed to be around 2-3 euros per month. Treat yourself to it, it's really worth it, especially in combination with the Xiaomi Home application, which works perfectly on Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro and iPhone 13 5G.
I bought one for the kitchen since our lamp burned out (fortunately), and I believe it was the best solution for around 25-30 euros. I might buy another one for the room later. I will come back with any updates that arise.
Update (25/9/2023, 9 months of use): I changed the router and had to reinstall all the smart devices on the network. All of them connected fine except for this specific one. I have tried more than 10 times and it keeps failing (see photos). It will be sent for replacement because it is very good and actually solved a significant problem in the house.
Update (1/10/2023): While it was working fine for 1 year and 3 months, when I changed the router and reset it to connect it to the new one, it never connected to the application. I tried more than 10 times (iPhone 13) but nothing. It was returned with warranty, and I am waiting for a new one. Also, I should mention that its white color is not 100% white, but it has a slight blue tint if you look at it for a while. Other than that, it is a quality construction, and the adhesive along its length and on the controller does not come off easily, which is a big positive!
Update (9/10/2023): The replacement arrived. It works fine, just like the previous one before it developed a problem. Let's see... I will come back with any updates that arise.

Used in an office. The lighting is sufficient, it stuck immediately and still holds up over time. It was purchased for 35 euros. Easy to use with the application but also with smart hub (alexa).

First of all, there are 2 negatives. The main one is that the adhesive is like it doesn't exist. I doubt it will last a month. I will get a 3m double-sided tape to be sure. The second one is that unfortunately it is not RGBW, so it doesn't have white light. It doesn't bother us much though because the light blue does the job.
Overall, it is bright, not like a kitchen cabinet light strip for example, but it does its job. It is very easy to operate through the mi Home app or the Yeelight app, and it is also beautiful. The 3 stars are for the adhesive and the price. Ridiculous 40 euros for a 2-meter LED strip with UNACCEPTABLE adhesive. I recommend it with reservation.
Very good for their price, I must say. Good lighting, easy installation, etc. As for durability over time, only time will tell, but they seem very promising!
Very good LED strip, quite bright. Some observations are that it is not rgbw but rgb and the white color is achieved by combining all the colors, also it is not 100 LEDs per meter according to the company it is 24 per meter and finally with today's prices if you want a 1-meter extension it costs 6-10€.
Personally, I consider all Yeelight products to be value for money. I had other LED strips in my space for years. I used to turn them on one by one with the familiar "remote control". The fact that now I can turn them on and synchronize them with each other with the press of a button through the mobile app is the reason why I spent a little extra money to buy them. I have other Yeelight lights in my space as well, and I was very satisfied. As soon as I discovered that there are also LED strips from the company with the conveniences that I knew it offers, I bought them without a second thought.
Very good build quality, immediate connection with Google home, Yeelight, Xiaomi Home and Smart Things applications.
It was placed behind the TV, with the help of transparent adhesive tape, as it detaches when bent at a 90-degree angle, due to the inflexible material.
It creates a wonderful atmosphere in the space, I already have two and I'm thinking of getting a third one. I control them from my mobile with incredible ease and overall I believe it is an excellent purchase.
The only slight downside is that the white color doesn't hold up as white. Other than that, it is a very good choice for its price.
The intensity of the lighting is quite strong (not so good in pure white), but it performs very well in the shades of the main colors because it uses both white LEDs.
It is an ideal choice for hidden lighting due to its wifi capability, as well as its interaction with third-party applications such as Razer, Jeelight (which simulates Philips lighting technology quite well, although it does not have the same authentic result), IFTTT, and many others.
Finally, I have had it for almost 1 year and it still works like the first day I got it. I have never experienced any disconnection issues, nor did I have any difficulty setting it up the first time. In other words, it is worth its money for the capabilities it offers.
Personally, the power supply makes an annoying sound whenever it's plugged in, which I don't know if it's normal, hence the 4 stars. Other than that, it's perfect.
Well, the film is very high quality and useful if you choose it for the right purpose. The main reason that makes it value for money is the connectivity it offers.
If you want a simple LED strip to enjoy in the room or for intense lighting to replace a regular lamp or just for simple decorative ambient lighting, then in my opinion, you will be wasting your money on this one.
The reason I got it is for its compatibility with Razer Chroma and also for mild room lighting. It gets a 10/10 in both aspects. The network connection was relatively easy and I haven't encountered any problems so far (the network is of good quality). It has enough cable length before and after the switch, so installing it away from the power outlet is easy.
I was impressed by the construction, which seems quite good. It is indeed waterproof, although it wouldn't be a good idea to put it in the shower, but if it's under the desk and water spills on it, nothing will happen. Its response is immediate from any application you use it with, which is quite impressive if you want 30 colors changing per second along with your other peripherals or if you have set it to respond to the sounds playing on your computer.
It is also convenient that it is simultaneously connected everywhere, meaning that when it is connected to Chroma but not being used by the profile, you can simply control it from your phone. The application that needs to be downloaded for the computer is a simple bridge that runs in the background and you forget about its existence.
As for the negatives, I have to say that there is no possibility to control each LED separately (which is expected) and the only way to extend it is from the end of the strip, while there could have been additional ports on the switch to allow for expansion in different directions.
There are many people who say that it doesn't have true white, and they are right, but this is a detail that is not noticeable when you don't directly look at the LEDs, meaning how you would use the product on a daily basis. Is it really RGBW or just RGB? I have no idea, you can see for yourself and decide. Personally, I don't care much. One image shows the white produced by the application (more blue) and the other image shows the white produced by Chroma with RGB-255 values (warmer color).
Update: In this particular strip, the slight current is not liked. When it is turned on, everything is fine, but when you turn it off, it makes a small static noise that you may have encountered in other electronics as well, so because it is installed in a bedroom, I have to unplug it every night.
I purchased it with two extension strips (4 meters total) for hidden ceiling lighting. I was impressed by the quality construction and ease of connection. I was slightly disappointed with the brightness of the light and its performance in shades, especially shades of white (warm/cool).
I bought it holding a small basket, but it is really very good.
Somewhere I read in the comments that it doesn't have a pink color, but as soon as you turn it on, it upgrades and has a pink color.
It connects very easily, sticks very securely, and the Yeelight app is very easy to use. Also, you can adjust the light to your liking, whether you want it to be just right or very bright. If you want it for lighting in a 15-20 square meter room, it is very good, but its best use is for a little light at night.
I will buy another one for the children's room
It connected easily. Both the Yeelight app and the Xiaomi app find it, unlike the Xiaomi lamp. It can be programmed nicely to turn on and off at any desired time from the app. I found it powerful in terms of brightness. Unfortunately, it doesn't have pink and I think it lacks some other colors as well. It goes from purple to blue. Its white colors are very good and it has adjustment for cool, natural, and warm light. Its warm light, however, is not very good. It would have received 5 stars if it had all the colors. The extension and installation are very easy, and its strip is good.
I leave this review here as I did not see anyone reliably comparing this LED strip with the much more expensive Hue, which has double the price (and a little more). However, the Hue is worth it.
- The Yeelight has much fewer lumens. With 4 extensions (total of 6 meters), the brightness of Yeelight is still half of the Hue.
- The white light is not really white but has a small dose of red in it.
- Difficult setup. It works with Apple Home for a while and then "disappears" from the network. With the Yeelight App, it is easier to set up... if you don't mind giving all your data to the company.
- Generally flaky. For example, sometimes it is unresponsive but the connectivity fixes itself after a few minutes. Other times, if the power goes out, it requires a reset for the app to find it again.
You get what you pay for. If you want to put a strip behind your desk, it will suffice I suppose. If you want strong and reliable lighting somewhere, look elsewhere.
