It was immediately recognized by the PC on Win10, and after formatting it to NTFS (it comes with FAT32 format), the transfer speed of data from external to external via USB3 hub was consistently above 160mb/s. I use it for storing movies, series, etc. and connecting to an Android TV.
Due to its intended use, I wanted it to have an on-off button, so that I can turn it on whenever I need it and not have it permanently on, and the Intenso has it.
The USB cable is very satisfactory in length.

Tip: If the TV does not recognize it, it is likely a size issue. After the split partition I did, 2 partitions in NTFS came out, each about 1.8GB, and it was recognized normally by the TV (both partitions by the built-in media player and by a player I have installed from Google Play).

I first connected it to the laptop for formatting and then to the PS5 console. I also had an external hard drive from another company with 4TB and I decided to choose that one as it was 15€ cheaper... At first, it writes the first 2GB at a speed of 100MB/sec and then it gets stuck at 1MB/sec.

  I had bought 3 pieces in 2021.
  And all 3 disks crashed and I lost the files.
  I removed them from the case and made them internal, in case the adapter in the case was the problem.
  Every now and then, a disk gets corrupted, even as an internal one with SATA.

  It is highly recommended if you want to punish someone.

  I am using a lot of hard drive from different brands, i had used 8 and that one was my 9 if am not mistaken and its far the worst I had so far. But to be honest a read a lot of reviews about this hard drive so i wasn’t surprise that its bad. So the problem in my case was that I was transfer a lot of videos to a specific folder some videos went through and some other not. Then i create another folder for the rest videos and again the same problem. In other words I created 7 different folders to complete the transfer of all of the videos and am not sure if all the videos transfer has been completed successfully, or if i had lost any videos when I did the transfer..

  It is a good disk, it does not raise temperature like an external Seagate 6TB that I have. The Intenso has a Western Digital inside which is quite fast, it took 9 hours to transfer 4.5TB. The power supply has small dimensions and fits easily into the power strip, unlike the Seagate which almost breaks its plug. The USB cable on the disk is type B and is 110cm long, and the power cable is 120cm long.

  EDIT: It disconnected after 3 days when I tried to transfer some files, but it turned out to be a problem with the USB port and not the disk. The mouse, keyboard, and USB stick work fine in this port, but not the Intenso.

  The Evaluation concerns the 4T. I had bought it 4 years ago on Black Friday for €75 from a well-known chain.
  Since then, with almost daily use for music (without overloading it), it works perfectly. However, I always make sure to safely eject it before removing the USB and of course, before turning off the switch. The switch is very useful because I believe it protects it from power outages and voltage changes. Also, the indicator light is very helpful as it changes color according to the disk's status, so you know when it is really safe to power it off. I am seriously considering buying the exact same one again for double backup and for use outside the house.

  I have not made much use of this specific hard drive, so the comments only have relative value. I will provide additional details once I have sufficient usage time.
  Practically, it is a value-for-money choice for someone who does not have excessive usage demands. I use it for backup of other smaller hard drives that I use on a daily basis. It has a large size compared to what we usually use for daily use, but on the other hand, it has sleek lines and looks beautiful externally. Convenient On/Off button on the back (see 2nd photo).
  I will come back later with more details from my own experience. In general, I trust Intenso - I have another model of theirs for a long time - despite the objections and reservations of some. It's all a matter of needs and intensive or non-intensive use.

  I see negative comments here, but I have 5 disks - 3, 5, and 4 TB, purchased 4 years ago. I also have two 1 TB disks that I made NTFS. I have movies on the larger ones and PS3 and Xbox 360 backup games on the smaller ones, with no problems. I don't have any issues with removing plastic USBs, etc.

  The Memory Station disks are great for storage. If someone wants continuous operation, they can go for 400 euros and above for the larger TB disks.

  In conclusion, these are the best disks for 4, 5, and 8 TB in this price range

  While it is an economical storage solution, and while it does indeed contain a branded disk, it requires special attention in its use. If you open it for occasional use and backup, then it's okay. If you plan to keep it open all the time, then it's better to buy another product. I have purchased three of these disks, and all of them have issues with the external power supply (poor quality), which after hours or days of continuous use does not provide proper power, resulting in writing or reading failures and constant requests for disk checks by Windows. I also lost a significant amount of data in one case. To find peace of mind, I disassembled them and placed them as internal components in the tower, and then I finally found peace. If you already have it and are facing such problems, do the same or try with a better external power supply 12V.

  I had bought the 3TB at a good price but I regret it now.
  I am into photography and I back up on 5 hard drives. I bought it because of the capacity requirements as I have 3 500GB WD 3.5" and 2 small 2.5" ones (each 1TB).
  This particular one hasn't completely failed, but it has this paradoxical behavior:
  About a year ago, it started to slow down, specifically when reading certain folders, and during file copying it would suddenly drop to 0kb/s and freeze. So I formatted it and bought a diagnostic tool for disks, which showed it in good health, just with one sector in moderate condition. However, it passes all the tests successfully. After I connected 2TB to it, it started doing the same thing again. Practically useless, I have no trust in it, it's going to be retired!

  I bought 2 hard drives, 3TB each. The first one crashed after 2 months. The other one failed just after 14 months without serious use, as I only had them for backup.

  I bought it on Black Friday 2018, 69€ (an incredible price back then for 4GB) and I have it as a file backup. I keep it closed and when I want to save or view old files, I open it. I haven't noticed any problems, it's relatively fast even though I have set it to go into sleep mode after 9 minutes, it only takes a while to start up when you request it.

  I bought a second one and I synchronize them, they changed the packaging from orange to classic yellow and the price to 85€.
  They are permanently closed, I open the old one to take backups and sync the new one every 10-20 days. It's impossible to lose my precious files and data, or at least I will realize it in time!

  I have bought it several times due to its very good price per terabyte. However, I always strip it from its plastic construction and use it either as an internal or external drive, but with a different USB connection board and NOT THE FACTORY ONE. As many people write, it mostly contains a Seagate Barracuda disk. It is quite fast (7600rpm) and can withstand continuous downloading until it is full. But in general, it is for storage and ALWAYS after removing its casing and the USB connection board. The disk comes formatted in FAT 32.
  The steps I would suggest are as follows:
  1. Make sure it works before voiding its warranty.
  2. Strip it from its plastic and the USB card. Not the disk itself, the USB.
  3. Connect it internally to a PC (preferably to the SATA controller on the motherboard), delete all partitions, and reformat it as GPT in NTFS. Quick format is also fine.
  4. Write it with some files.
  5. If you have a docking station or a USB board for Seagate/Toshiba Canvio.E external drives of equal or larger capacity, then connect it. Optionally, download the Seagate tools and check it.
  6. The product is worth its money for the disk it contains. The same disk is found in more expensive Seagate external drives. There, you pay for the name, the USB board, and the software.
  Those of you who have written it without stripping it from its board should transfer your data to another disk as soon as possible. Personally, by writing it as it comes from the factory, I couldn't read it in any way as an internal or with a different board from a reputable and more expensive external drive.
