The insurance legislation is characterized by constant changes, which make it difficult for the law practitioner, especially in the "memorandum" period we are going through, during which a plethora of provisions have been legislated in a short period of time, making the codification and understanding of the relevant legislative framework particularly burdensome process.
The Insurance Legislation has undergone significant changes again, such as those referring to the conditions for retirement due to old age, disability and death, the percentages of insurance contributions, the calculation of the amount of pensions, the deadlines for payment of contributions, the recognition of plasma insurance periods, the provision of medical care, the labor stamp, the supplementary insurance of the E.T.E.A., the collection of overdue contributions, the insurance of professors-educators of Colleges, I.E.K. etc., the contribution for camps, consecutive insurance, the abolition of the Special Book of Registration of Newly Recruited Personnel, the control of Undeclared Work - fines, etc.
The new edition, which is not only fully updated, but also richer in new topics and interpretive observations. However, in addition to the above, the relevant case law of the Administrative Courts and the Council of State has been included, by which many provisions of the Foundation's legislation have been authentically interpreted, so as to give as complete a picture as possible of the issues under consideration.
At the same time, detailed tables of contribution rates that apply throughout the country are presented, for all general categories of businesses and insured persons. The edition is supplemented with many footnotes, which correlate the provisions of the legislation and the relevant case law, in order to have the basic elements of Social Insurance in a unified and concise text.
