The HS7 speaker from Yamaha belongs to the category of self-powered studio monitors. This means that it has a built-in amplifier, so it does not need to be connected to one in order to function. It is used in professional or home studios as it reproduces neutral sound, a characteristic that helps in mixing and music production. The power is 95W RMS and it is 2 way, meaning the sound frequencies are reproduced by two speakers, one tweeter for the high frequencies and one woofer for the low frequencies. The size of the bass driver is 6.5".

Terrific speakers.
As others have said, the soundproofing you will install in the space where they will be placed needs attention so that the bass is not nonexistent and there is no problem.
From 1% volume to 100%, the speakers remain clear and precise in the sound they produce.
However, they are not the most powerful studio speakers (personally, it doesn't bother me).
100% recommended by me.
If you continue to think about the speakers, stop thinking about it and order them yesterday.
Very good construction.
They are a bit warm after studio sessions.
They whistle slightly (for compulsive audiophiles)
The highs are slightly colored but it has a +/- 2 dB switch at the back (if you don't have a natural EQ)
Buy them
In a 3x5 meter room without soundproofing, if you exceed 70% of the volume, you will have to shout for the other person to hear you half a meter away. Excellent sound. I believe that 170 would be the best value. Chills in the highs and mids. I don't have an opinion on the lows yet, as I am a former user of 5.1 speakers
Apart from the fact that it colors the high frequencies, the rest of the range is clean.
There might be a small issue if they are placed close to a wall due to the bass reflections that are reproduced from the back.
For reference monitors, they are among the best at this price.
With balanced cables and a simple sound card, there is good results.
The woofers need some time of low volume listening in order not to distort
One-way street for amateur mixing engineer. Good response, quite flat sound. Pay attention to the space. Especially if you have a wooden desk or wooden floor, I would recommend bass traps (Isolation Pads). Solid quality, I didn't expect anything else from Yamaha. I recommend it
Crystal clear sound, without color, their price for what they offer is truly amazing...
A big plus is that as an extension, one can also purchase the corresponding Yamaha SubWoofer and complete the set!
I use them mainly for mixing/mastering but also to watch movies, etc...
However, I should add that these speakers are NOT for very small spaces... they will not perform well in, let's say, a 10 square meter room... for small spaces, the Hs5 is better and the HS8 is for larger spaces... unless you have taken all the necessary actions in the room with bass traps, soundproofing, etc...
Unfortunately, one of them turned out to be defective, but that is not a reason to criticize the product, unfortunately these things happen... even if they completely broke, I think I would still buy the same ones again :)
Extremely flat sound without colorations, perfect for proper mixing.
High clarity - powerful sound - incredible build quality.
If you simply want to listen to music with a lot of bass and stories, they are not suitable... they are studio monitors, intended for specific use.
If you can afford it... go for the hs8, which are even better.
Crystal clear sound, perfectly balanced. Undoubtedly the best speaker for its price. For something better, the price doubles. Personally, I use them for listening, and even though I'm not a bass junkie, I tweaked the bass a bit from the equalizer to get exactly what I want in metal songs, mainly with heavy guitars. Now, in more groove situations, I leave them completely flat. Someone who wants strongly emphasized bass should look elsewhere. I listened to the HS5s in the store alongside other fives, and someone could work with them only with a subwoofer, otherwise their bass is nonexistent
If you are serious, you will get the KRK ROKIT.
If you are not, you will go and buy the miserable HS.
They are really worth every minute. Those of you who come from fake speakers and go straight to the HS will understand once you catch unknown frequencies.
Balanced Bass, Treble, Mid, and the selling point.
If you mix, you will love them.
If you compose, you will love them.
If you want to listen to music at full volume and only hear bass, you won't like them at all. (Not that you can't, but the truth is there are better and cheaper options for exclusive listening.)
Extremely good speakers, perfect for a home studio (especially if it's a relatively large space), they are worth every last euro. Incredible sound performance, extremely "flat" sound which is what is desired for studio monitors (for most people, at least). They don't distort at high volumes, and the bass is also very good (the HS5 lacks in this area). In terms of price, they are by far the best choice, in my humble opinion!
It is purely studio monitors, you really hear exactly what you write 100% as you wrote it. I am very satisfied with the purchase! I would not recommend them for those who just want to "listen" to music, it is better to prefer more hi-fi speakers. However, they are really a good size, whether for more professional situations or for a home studio!
These speakers have high-quality sound, clear and very good sound at high volume. They are also great for studios, as well as for DJing and mixing songs. They are very good for movies and gaming. I am very satisfied with these speakers and I highly recommend them.
P.S. Awesome bass!!!
Yamaha = awesome sound!!!
It is a monitor speaker, excellent, and dare I say a reference speaker if you are looking for something like that, take it. But if you want a booming speaker to impress your friends and neighbors, then it's not for you, look for something else
The speakers are incredible, you can't believe the sound they produce! Balanced, crystal clear, full throttle, and yet still clean! I heard them for the first time in a store, along with similar ones from other companies, and the sound was far superior! The employee from the other end of the store, who couldn't see when I turned them up and then lowered them, said "You put on Yamaha now, huh?'' Pure perfection!
Good speaker for its price. Good for long hours of operation
Awesome sound for home studio use. I highly recommend it
