History creates education in the sense that within it religion, poetry, philosophy, and science develop. Education creates history in the sense that forces arising from the unfathomable depths of human consciousness surpass natural processes and set historical processes in motion. There is a donated opening to the world, which transcends the world and creates history. Man is both educated and educator at the same time. He is educated because history preceded him. And he is an educator because he is responsible for history. Because he caused it. And because he must direct it. Because ultimately man precedes history - but also follows it.

At the end of the twentieth century and at the end of the second millennium after Christ, we are called upon for a radical awareness of existence in the world. Otherwise, the unstoppable wheel of time leads us to certain loss. In this temporal extremity, the responsibility of humanity is terrifying. And it must perceive this. Because time has narrowed greatly. And the outcome will depend on the education of man.
