The main question of this book and our lives is: "Who do I ideally want to be in response to the challenges that exist in my life?" This decision is the only power we have in creating the present and future we desire. The causes of the stimuli and challenges that already exist in our lives have been created by our choices, up to this moment. The only freedom we have is to make different choices from now on. The way we perceive the stimuli of the present determines how we feel, and how we react and therefore our current and future reality. In other words, we need alternative perceptions.
