The Bormann BBP3100 is a professional Li-Ion battery impact drill driver, 2-speed, from the new Bormann Pro series.

Lightweight and compact, with powerful impact and long autonomy, for working in tight spaces for extended periods. The high-speed transmission provides two variations. The integrated LED provides great visibility even in dark working environments. The comfortable grip adds balance and control. Compatible with the full range of BormannPro 20-Volt batteries.

Brushless Motor

Less wear, greater performance

The advantage that brushless motors have over brushed is that they have no friction since there are no carbon brushes. Without carbon brushes, the motors are more efficient and have a longer lifespan as there is no wear and tear (the carbon brushes in brushed motors wear out with use). They produce less noise, maintain their torque consistently at all speeds, do not overheat, and require no maintenance.

Nicely made, good quality and power. The only negative is that the impact needs a technique to get it started, but then it becomes familiar. Until then, the adjustment ring turns easily. If the impact doesn't go in directly, it's better not to insist. Move it back one position and then forward again, one, two, three times, until the impact goes in and it becomes simple. I have several Bormann Pro tools, this is the first one I give 4 stars for the reason I mentioned before.
10/06/23: I upgraded it with a Milwaukee quick metal chuck and the tool is amazing... lightweight, powerful, and holds everything well. The impact now goes in easily without any issues, so 5 stars.

For the money it costs, it is a very good and powerful machine, on par with other well-known brands that have the same technical characteristics, but are much more expensive (we are always talking about professional tools).

First of all, I should mention that in terms of design, except for the side handle, it is identical to the Parkside from Lidl. Of course, this one is technically better because it also has an impact function, but it is also more powerful than the Parkside.

HOWEVER!

The Bormann battery fits in the Parkside charger.

The Parkside battery fits in the Bormann charger.

The Bormann battery fits in the Parkside drill driver.

The Parkside battery DOES NOT FIT in the Bormann drill driver.

It is quite heavy with quality plastic parts and an automatic chuck lock.

The only negative aspect so far is that I would prefer it to come with a carrying case instead of just the regular packaging.

Also, it would be good if versions were available with the battery and charger included, instead of having to buy them separately.
