Convenient due to its small size, excellent construction quality, but don't expect miracles at 40 degrees Celsius (it's not an air conditioner). Relatively quiet up to the 2nd setting. On the 3rd setting, it feels like having an air conditioner.
I give it 2 stars for its sturdy construction and beautiful design... I made a big mistake because I relied on the name Rohnson and the fact that it was still the first mild heat waves that seemed to be doing the job, so I threw my money away as I rushed and bought a second one because I considered it a bargain.... Only it's a "bargain" of those that make you cry your money afterwards. With air conditioning at home, they do NOTHING! And I'm not talking about a penthouse apartment, just a detached house with aluminum frames! I have them at full power and I still need the fan! You wonder where the hell it hits! Stay away if you want to cool off, otherwise for decoration or for some office to have it in your face so you might understand something...
It is quiet on the 1st and 2nd speed while on the 3rd it is not. In mine, there is an issue with the speeds. The 1st one engages after you lower it from the 2nd on the sliding switch! It didn't bother me much. Overall, it is very good, maybe a bit expensive but perhaps justified by its retro appearance. It performs well on the 2nd and 3rd speeds, while the 1st one is negligible, maybe for sleep.

Good sturdy metal construction. Very elegant and beautiful, with a nice fan. However, its beauty seems to have taken away from its main purpose, creating airflow. In order to feel that it's working (besides the noise), you have to be very close to it! It's ideal to have it on a desk, but I don't think it's suitable for anything more.

My husband, who knows about electrical stuff, told me that these switches are very durable. We use it every day, but not excessively. I am very satisfied. The noise on level 3 is gentle and doesn't bother you. It can't be completely silent, let's not get crazy. And I sleep comfortably with it on. I have it on level 1. Let's not have unreasonable expectations. It's an amazing product. My husband also bought a floor fan from the same store, with a plastic remote control and plastic blades. As soon as I saw the difference in quality, we returned it and got another Ronson. Now, I don't know how long it will last. I will update. I marked it as silent in the evaluation.
