The king of portable table saws. All the others are either amateur or provide things that essentially require a carpenter's miter saw to be done correctly, like a sliding miter saw, to cut what? 30 cm at most. Huge, extremely expensive, heavy, and useless in the field. For its price, it is top-notch. As a professional carpenter with 30 years of experience, I tell you to get it without hesitation. It is very powerful and frighteningly accurate. Oh, and guys, all machines after heavy use need inspection, calibration, and cleaning.
The machine is the standard for all bench saws. I changed 3 bench saws until I ended up with this one. It's a shame the money I have spent so far because I thought this machine was expensive, yet it is the cheapest among what it offers. I recommend it to everyone, especially to new hobbyists in this field. Don't waste your money elsewhere, get this one and you will remember me.
Purchased for amateur use but it is clearly a professional tool. Mine was perfectly calibrated from the factory and did not require any adjustments (blade, fence, surface, etc.). The cutting distance adjustment system is amazing, especially for an amateur. It has not been used on very hard woods yet for me to write about my experience with them, but it has easily handled everything it has been tasked with so far. The included blade is very good (24T for rip cuts) and I also purchased a second one with more teeth (60T) for cleaner cuts. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.
PS My review is for the DWE7492 model with the 250mm blade.
I have had the tool for about 2 years and it is excellent. The "Dewalt.gr" dealership is a real disgrace. If you need any help, like I did to replace the cutting disc, you can only ask online through a form that you fill out where the fields are in English. There is no contact phone. I tried submitting complaints and did not receive a response. DISGRACE
I don't have much to say.. I cut very hard woods, woods that other saws almost stopped on, and it's like cutting butter... Absolute precision... worth every last euro
Perhaps the best one can get in this category. Accurate (to the millimeter), user-friendly, and if needed, easy to adjust. Mine was properly set by the factory except for the front metric scale, which was off by one (1) millimeter and I easily adjusted it. I am completely satisfied and recommend it.
The tool is unbeatable. I had bought another one from a well-known department store for 130 euros and in order to cut two plywood sheets straight, I ended up ruining the wood and didn't have very good results because, as I found out, it had a crooked blade from its manufacturer. Luckily, they accepted the return and I ordered the DW7485 directly. I have no words. I was blind and now I see my light. Greater accuracy is to die for. Its biggest advantage is its fence, which moves with a tenth of a millimeter precision and when locked, it's rock solid from both sides. It's worth every penny you'll spend. Don't get something cheaper, you'll regret it. The only downside is that it doesn't have a very large work surface, but that can be fixed with a patent. Also, the guide that moves on the rail has some play, but that can be fixed by adding adhesive tape along the guide to tighten it.
Finally, after searching for about two years, I got it. I use other Dewalt tools and I am satisfied. I got it for hobby use but the tool is designed for professionals. I was impressed by the precise cuts it makes. It is ergonomically designed with everything in its right place. It is sturdy and heavy at the same time. The side guides as well as the feed guide are very good. It creates a lot of dust and made me look for vacuums and dust extractors, something I didn't have in mind to such an extent. It has special sockets that you can connect depending on which device you choose to suck up dust. A good craftsman with imagination will take it to the next level. (If someone cares about the country of manufacture, for the record, the machine is made in China)
It is recommended to install a soft start module for smooth engine start. It reduces starting current and vibrations and gives longevity to the tool.
High precision tool sturdy construction cuts 83 points from the right side very satisfied with professional use in woodworking
