Description

The Greek metal god Gus G. (Kostas Karamitroudis) is one of the most renowned metal guitar virtuosos. He served as the guitarist for the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne from 2009-2017, while also establishing himself as an accomplished solo artist with albums such as I Am the Fire and Fearless.

Gus G. has also managed to perform worldwide with diverse groups such as Arch Enemy, Dream Evil, and his own band Firewind.

Jackson pays tribute to the remarkable Greek guitarist with his own signature JS Series Gus G. Star JS32T, which offers a new, fresh take on one of Jackson's original avant-garde body shapes.

The Star JS32T features a poplar body and maple neck with graphite reinforcement to protect against extreme environmental and climatic conditions.

Hosting 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays, the 12 - 16 inch compound radius bound amaranth fingerboard is the ideal playing surface for fast riffing or comfortable chords.

This sharp "machine" is powered by high-output Jackson humbucking pickups that burst with hot, crunchy tone, ideal for any hard rock or heavy metal. The tone is customizable with a three-way toggle switch and a volume knob, while the compensated TOM-style bridge enhances intonation.

With this TOM-type bridge, you can choose the perfect distance from the saddle to the headstock separately for each string, achieving 100% perfect intonation along with dynamic response and endless sustain.

Neck construction from Maple wood

The Maple wood used in the neck is an important element for the guitar's acoustics, as it produces a bright and precise tone resulting from the wood's hardness.

Body construction from Poplar wood

The Poplar wood used in the guitar's body offers a balanced sound with an emphasis on the mid and low frequencies, performing well even in more intense playing.

I believe that for more challenging situations, it easily competes with guitars worth 1000+. It has a nice setup, very smooth (airy, I would say) and a nice feel on the fretboard. It is also very lightweight with a strong sound and without an amplifier compared to my other guitars. Very nice and clean sound on Clean and also very good sound with distortion. The only thing that gave me some difficulty, but it is also a matter of habit and not related to the guitar, is the bridge (I am mainly used to Floyd Rose). Other than that, I have nothing negative to say, I would highly recommend it!
