Specifically, it shows the room temperature as well as the temperature you have set for the radiator to turn on. I set it at 20.5 degrees and when the temperature reaches that point, the radiator turns on and shuts off at 21 degrees. Easy installation and connection!
Translated from Greek ·Did you find this review helpful?As a basic digital thermostat, it is very good and accurate in its indications but if it runs out of battery, even alkaline ones leak, then you are in trouble and the heater works until the oil runs out! I recently made this mistake in a country house and, on top of that, I found it working non-stop and the circulator as well, because apparently the thermostat got stuck, obviously after a power outage. If I had left the old one with the switch, this wouldn't have happened... So be careful with the two AAA batteries or remember to also turn off the switch at the boiler room in case of prolonged absence.

In 3 installations that were made in 3 different houses, we had to clarify that when connected to an oil boiler for radiators and in order for the temperature to work like an air conditioner, the temperature setting had to be adjusted to Cool for heat. As you increase the desired temperature, for example 22 degrees, as soon as this temperature is reached, the room that has 20 degrees should stop.
Putting it on Heat works the other way around.
I do not know why they have configured it this way. It starts on its own when the temperature is 0.2 below the desired room temperature you set and turns off when it reaches +0.2. I think we will save unnecessary heating expenses that a problematic thermostat has!

I appreciate that I will also have relative savings in consumption compared to the previous (manual conventional). In my case, the previous one was "taking" power from a 4-wire cable (3 + 1 grounding), and I preferred the connection to be made by the boiler technician (who of course made 1-2 attempts to achieve it). What is certain is that for heating, I have connected to the 2 and 3 terminals and the other two cables are insulated in the air.

Therefore, it is particularly convenient in cases where we do not want to pull such cables during installation or they are not available from the beginning.
I have been using 5 of these thermostats for 1 year in various rooms and they work perfectly. It is very easy to open with 2 clips on the top (for battery replacement) and generally easy to install. Some hints that are not obvious:
- It takes 2 AAA batteries. Cheap batteries last about 1-1.5 years, while better batteries easily last 2-3 years.
- When the battery runs out, the screen may still turn on and the user may think everything is fine, but the thermostat does NOT send a command to the solenoid valve.
- Also, the low battery indication may only appear when someone tries to change the temperature. As long as we leave it at the same setting, the low battery indication may not appear.
- Therefore, it is good to note when we approximately install new batteries and set a reminder after 1.5 years to check if everything is still working properly.
- Finally, the device seems to have a delay of about 0.1 degrees Celsius, meaning that if we have set it to a temperature of 20 degrees, then shortly after it reaches 19.9 degrees, it will send a command to the solenoid valve to close. Even so, due to thermal inertia, the room temperature will eventually rise to 20+ degrees, so our thermostat saves us at least a little from consumption.Translated from Greek ·Did you find this review helpful?Purchased for 20e, so we are talking about a very affordable digital thermostat, good quality, presentable without the ability to store different temperatures within 24 hours.. something that more expensive ones might do!
Easy to install (I uploaded a photo of the positions of the terminals and connections depending on what you will connect).
I connected it to an individual natural gas boiler as follows... the phase, the brown wire that usually carries electricity, is connected to position 2-COM and the grounding yellow wire to position 3-NO (they have the yellow wire as a return, probably so that electricians don't get confused.. and in my first attempt I didn't understand and asked)... the blue wire nowhere!
The temperature adjustment is done in increments of 0.5 degrees, the same goes for the deviation to turn on... the only thing that might be needed is perhaps a light to be visible from a distance when the burner is working, otherwise up close it has a readable screen that lights up as soon as you move the controller! I hope I helped... now for those who have difficulty or trip the circuit breakers, the connection is wrong, they should consult an electrician! The device works with batteries which (according to the instructions) can last 1.5 years until the next change (which is very easy without needing special knowledge).
It does not have a timer but I set it to the desired temperature, and once the room temperature drops below the thermostat's set temperature, the burner turns on...
To turn off the burner, the room temperature must reach "at least" 0.5 degrees above the preset thermostat temperature..
For example: thermostat with a selected temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, when the room temperature reaches 20 degrees, it will give the command to the burner to turn on and.... once it reaches 20.5, the room temperature will give the command to the boiler to turn off..."A very good device for its price" (mentioned by a professional electrician - electronics technician who made the connection)...
