Description

Semi-Automatic coffee machine for espresso coffee, from Gaggia company. The coffee is supplied with ground espresso, in the size of your choice.
So, you determine the quantity of coffee placed in the specially designed handle, and press the start button to start the extraction process.
Each time you make coffee, you will also need to clean the handle so that it is always ready for the next use.

It is a suitable choice for people who are interested in experimenting to achieve the taste and texture they desire.

It has a power of 1300 Watt, and it takes a few minutes for the water to heat up for coffee making. Usually, devices with a power of around 1100 Watts and above heat water quickly.

The water tank is removable, so it offers easy filling and cleaning, and it has a capacity of 2.1 liters. This means that it can make approximately up to 35 single espresso cups of hot coffee before needing to be refilled.

Thanks to the milk frother, you can manually mix steam and milk to create foam with the ideal density for your preferred milk-based drink, such as cappuccino or latte.
The pressure exerted by the boiler on the coffee for extraction corresponds to 15 bar. The recommended values for a rich and creamy espresso are from 9 bar and above.

It has a removable container for using fresh milk, for your preferred milk-based drinks such as cappuccino, latte, and others. It is detachable and when not in use, it can easily be stored in the refrigerator to keep it fresh.

I have the old model from 2013. It is excellent if you want to drink proper and high-quality coffee. If you are willing to invest time and are in favor of quality, then we are talking about a top-notch household appliance that has nothing to envy from many professional ones. Definitely get a quality grinder to grind the coffee beans at that moment, otherwise you lose all the essence of the coffee and its quality, and avoid coffee brands from supermarkets

I have had it for 5 years and it works flawlessly, it is a beautiful device with good quality for its price. Initially, until one achieves the desired coffee, it may require a little effort, but with a little practice and research, it will make your coffee exactly as you desire.

The first coffee I made was perfect, the next one was less good, and so on. After a month, the machine stopped working. I took it to the dealership and they told me that the thermostat was broken and that they would replace it free of charge due to the warranty. I have been using a Delonghi machine for years that cost me only 35 euros and it still works. I spent a lot more money on this one and the problems started. I made a mistake from the beginning.

I have been the owner of the Gaggia Classic for the past 2.5 years... simply put, this machine is amazing! Perfect coffee! And something else important... it's not enough to just press the button for the coffee to start running... it requires practice. Many parameters play a role in a good cup. The Classic will give you results (for sure) but you have to get involved. I believe it's the best home machine that exists!

After 1.5 years and approximately one coffee every day, I have to say that it is not worth its money. Whoever falls for it and buys it will experience the same as me. It has been to the service twice and now we are going for the third time. All cleanings have been done very meticulously. Before, it was leaking water around the group, now it stops and leaks from the group. Even when turned off. 300€ went to waste. I will also upload a video because I like to speak with evidence and not in the air.

I have it and I've been using it without any problems for over 3 years! It requires you to dedicate time to it both in daily use and in periodic maintenance, but it rewards you with a much better coffee than 90% of the stores! It is truly classic and honest for its price! Naked PF and non-pressurized basket are useful to be purchased together if possible, for better extraction control and faster progress!

I have had this machine for 15 years, in an older version possibly. The coffee it makes is truly wonderful and impresses anyone who comes to my house and sees it. However, no matter how much you take care of it with cleanings and descaling, it will break and require repairs regularly, by a technician. Without going into detail, I have "bought" it three times over with the various services. At the moment, it is broken in my kitchen, "watching" me make my espresso in my old moka pot.

I have it for 1.5 years and I am very satisfied. I drink 3-4 espressos every day. The missing star is for the quality of the inox and the plastics. I would like a better finish for its price.

It is definitely worth its money, I am new to coffee but after a few failed attempts and faithful application of the instructions, I managed to make an AAA cappuccino. You get what you pay for, guys, the only maybe negative thing is that it makes a little more noise, but it's worth it.

On its own, the stainless steel cannot make a difference after 2 months of use with the corresponding cleaning in the salts that have been made. The pump does not draw water as for what I read below about taste, the Rowenta Opio ES3200 for the 80 euros that I have for 3 years and has absolutely no problem with the same espresso blend has exactly the same taste..... It does not justify the money, a big disappointment for nothing.

For the money, it makes by far the best coffee. However, you should inform yourself on various forums about all the parameters in order to achieve the perfect espresso (meaning fresh specialty coffee, generally finely ground with a dose of over 17 grams, proper distribution and tamping, etc.) so that you have 50-60 ml / 25-30 sec. Now I enjoy espresso, the coffee I drink compared to most cafes is as different as night and day. Highly recommended.

I bought it and regretted it. I had it for about 2 months, made around 15 coffees, and suddenly when I went to make a coffee, it didn't release any water. I took it to the repairman and he told me that the magnet was burnt. I fixed it, took it back, and left. From then on, I concluded that it is all about the finishing touches, elegance, and fragrances, and nothing more. As for what they say about it making the best coffee for its price, it is as far as the earth is from the moon.

So I wake up the first morning I got it, ecstatic to make an amazing cappuccino. I start with milk froth and it turns out perfect. I open a new red illy from the supermarket, a hot cup, the right dosage and press...and I see the coffee running a bit too fast...I add the milk froth...terrible black coffee!
I've wasted about 30 coffees until I found the right blend, grinding, etc. that suits it.
I also got a machine that grinds beans finely, and now I really have very good coffee!
So it's a very good machine, but it requires (a lot of) dedication.

Clearly the positives outweigh the negatives, such as: aesthetically beautiful, good build quality, professional 58mm portafilter, 3-way solenoid valve, adjustable over pressure valve made of metal, stainless steel. The negatives mainly include the small aluminum boiler (3.5 oz). A good upgrade for it is with a double and triple non-pressurized basket, PID for temperature control, adjustment of the OPV to 9.5 bar from 11, as well as a naked portafilter for better extraction control. In any case, it performs impressively with freshly ground coffee in a fine grind. However, if you use S/M coffee from Gaggia (only with illy it has somewhat satisfactory results). If you engage with it, it will definitely reward you with great coffees. You will elevate to another level from the usual commercial espresso machines. With a price around 250 euros, it is value for money. Attention!!! Stay away from the classic v.2015, they have ruined them.

I was searching for a home coffee machine for two months, up to 300-350 euros, until I chose the Gaggia Classic. Excellent build quality and a truly professional portafilter.
I completely agree with the previous speakers, but I want to emphasize that you will see a big difference by changing the pressurized filter of the portafilter, as well as the fact that since it is not automatic, it does not provide automatic water dosage settings. The machine is truly worth its money.

After a lot of research, I ended up with this specific one and I haven't regretted it at all. Truly a heavy-duty coffee machine, with excellent build quality and ideal features for home use.
In the positives, I agree with everything george gkikas said, plus the fact that it has an internal pressure adjustment switch (so you can add more bars if you want - which is not necessary) and that it has a very large tray for the waste.
As for the disadvantages, it comes with a pressurized portafilter, but I bought a non-pressurized one directly for only 7 euros. As for the small space under the portafilter, you can simply remove the tray and easily fit even a cup (the waste that the three-way valve produces with the closure is minimal)
Also, don't forget, a grinder is definitely necessary, even a manual one. Pre-ground coffees will not give you the result you expected and this machine is worth it.
