Description

The faucet Leon 2, by Ravenna, is installed on the wall above the bathtub. The water can be released either from the bathtub faucet or through the showerhead. For optimal use, it should ideally be placed at a height of 90 centimeters above the bathtub.

It is thermostatic, which means you can adjust the water temperature before even turning on the flow. This makes it easy to maintain a stable temperature and avoid wasting water until the ideal temperature is reached. It includes a safety system to protect you from burns in case the water temperature accidentally increases too much.

It includes a telephone and a spiral.

Once again, it proves that you get what you pay for. But what I DID NOT expect was for it to be SO terrible.

Let me explain... I decided to try a thermostatic battery for my baby, since our previous one broke. I knew that with €83 (hahaha, I saw that it went up to €98 now!!!) (can you believe it, it went up to €140!!!), it wouldn't be that great and probably wouldn't last for 20 years, but I thought, okay, let's give it a try.

First impression: the lightest battery I have ever held, literally. The finish is okay, nothing special. It has a lever to adjust the water pressure and a rotating switch to select the temperature, which has distinct points with a satisfying 'click'. In the middle of the range, the switch indicates "38°" - perfect, I thought, I'll leave it there and it will be safe for the baby!

Oh no... basically, as we go from the hot end to the cold end, the temperatures are:

    lukewarm
    lukewarm
    lukewarm
    lukewarm
    scalding hot (at "38°")
    cold
    freezing
    freezing
    freezing
    freezing

In essence, the temperatures that it offers are between the two hot/cold clicks, and you have to balance the switch somewhere in between, which is difficult since the switch is not designed that way!

Another way to find the desired temperature: you set it to the hot setting ("38°") and increase the water pressure until it cools down a bit and is okay. Of course, this is completely opposite to how a thermostatic battery is supposed to work, as theoretically the temperature should remain constant REGARDLESS OF THE FLOW. And of course, by increasing the flow, you waste more water, while the showerhead they provide is already very wasteful.

Oh, yes, the showerhead: very cheaply made, the seam opens in some places while ALL the holes spray the water... at an angle (each hole at a different angle :D :D ). Some of the holes in the inner ring ("massage") don't even spray water at all - we're talking about a brand new showerhead, right? Not one that has been clogged by minerals and use!
The sensation is nice, but that's not difficult with the amount of water it releases, which I estimate is almost double compared to the previous showerhead I had.

In short: STAY AWAY. If you want a thermostatic battery, spend more and get a reputable brand. In general, I will never touch a Ravenna product again...

EDIT: The mechanism of the shower that changes the flows only lasted 2.5 months. The button stopped working. Such poor quality garbage, not even in a cheap store... Also, the printing of the temperatures on the battery has already started to fade a long time ago :D
