Excellent, excellent. I had a doop with an internal antenna that was constantly losing channels and needed constant retuning. I broke it and got rid of it. The picture quality of the legent is significantly better, I mean excellent, even with the scart connection. The reception is also excellent as it doesn't freeze like the doop did. Highly recommended.

The HDMI connection indeed has amazing picture quality. But the scart connection doesn't work. I tried another cable. I tried another receiver with the same cable and it worked. I'm leaving room for the possibility that I might be doing something wrong, but I don't see what it could be. Either way, I will use it for whatever works, I don't want to bother with changing it for 20 euros.
UPDATE. Eventually, what happens is that the scart doesn't work when it's connected to HDMI, but it works as soon as you disconnect the HDMI connection. Although it has both scart and HDMI outputs, they don't work together. Stars from 3 out of 4.
Out of the 4 decoders I have, this is the best I've ever had. Amazing picture and sound. Remote control that also controls the TV, excellent menu, very user-friendly, displays the time in standby mode with large letters, very low price and excellent choice. It has absolutely nothing to envy from other very expensive ones.
I am truly surprised by the positive reviews for this device, which led me astray and cost me 18€. After a literal great frustration regarding the channel tuning, I decided to conduct an experiment. I installed the decoder on a television with an mpeg4 receiver, which means the same antenna and cables. The decoder tuned in only half of the channels that the television did and mainly missed some of the HD ones. Pay an extra 5€ to get the job done. I don't know if I will bother returning it. I give it a second star because it only cost 18€ and my loss is not significant.
An excellent Mpeg-4 that works wonders on HD television!
I have only seen such picture quality on 4K and above televisions. Vivid image on channels with HD signal, crystal clear sound, recording on an external hard drive with program pause options so you can continue from where you left off, parental control, program recording with scheduling! Very super especially for the money I paid, only 17€!!!
Just when I was thinking of buying a digital receiver.....let me buy a new television, of course I saved a lot of money and my Philips HD ready television was reborn!!!
The remote control is very convenient as it has the basic buttons of the television remote control on/off/volume+/- /AV-TV and now you only play ball with it!
It also has buttons on it in case the remote control runs out of batteries.
I would buy it again and again without hesitation!
In mine, when you open it, it takes 3-4 minutes to start receiving commands from the remote control. Apart from that, everything else works perfectly.
I decided to buy it after reading many positive comments. I give it 4 stars because after 3-4 days of use, it stopped working. It couldn't pick up any channels and at first, we thought it was a problem with the antenna. So we called a technician who checked the device and confirmed that the problem was with the decoder. I requested a return and they sent us a new device without any additional charges. It has been working properly for a week now, and I hope it continues like this. :)
I bought it mainly for the reviews and the remote control. I connected the remote control to the TV following instructions from someone on YouTube, and now I only use the receiver's remote control. The 3 stars are given because I NEVER managed to connect the receiver to the TV via HDMI and have both picture and sound. It only had picture... Luckily, I had an ancient SCART and it did the job. On YouTube, they suggest muting the volume before connecting it, and that's how it works... I tried THAT too. Nothing. I didn't return it because I was too lazy to wait for the back and forth!
First contact with the decoder very positive!

-Wherever I turned the remote control, it immediately captured the commands (compared to another older one which was terrible in this aspect).

Excellent! Rarely do you buy a product with so little money while it's worth twice as much...
The only "drawback" is that it doesn't have weekly recording programming. It only has it once and for daily recording. In all other aspects, it's a star, I highly recommend it.
I've had it for almost two months with daily use and so far I'm thrilled.

1 year after the purchase, it started to freeze and the image would freeze too... something that got worse as time went on!
In all other aspects, it continues to be flawless.
And just when I was thinking of replacing it with a new one, I tried another USB stick a month ago in case that was the problem!
And everything is perfect!
Seriously guys, this product is truly unbeatable for the money it costs....!
The best choice! The watch on standby suits us! There is no other option that is more economical and good! Indeed, it needs an extra cable!
I have received it a few days ago, and for its price, it has impressed me. The machine is a star! I hope it has a long lifespan, and there is also a satisfactory warranty. I recommend it without any reservations.
Very good product. The very special thing it has is that from its remote control you can program 4 buttons and essentially you don't need the TV remote control (TV on/off, volume up/down, TV source selection). I highly recommend it!
After repeated console changes, believing that the issue was simply with the device, I have concluded that the model is defective. I do not recommend it
For the money, it is very super.
Unfortunately, it broke after 8 months (the image had some glitches), but it was replaced under warranty and everything is fine.

Very nice remote control and copying some common buttons from the TV to the receiver's remote control is very useful, although note that the TV remote control must already be working, otherwise, from what I have searched, copying is not possible
It is an incredible decoder. Why do I say this? Because simply by pressing the set button on the remote control, then the top left button on the TV, and then bringing the TV remote control next to the decoder remote control and pressing the TV power button. Copying this specific button from the TV to the decoder remote control. As a result, the decoder remote control opens both the decoder and the TV. One control for both TV and decoder.
For some reason, when I turn on devices that are on the same power line, the machine shuts down on its own.. It may be due to the installation, but yes..
Also, the cable that connects it to the TV is a joke.. Consider the price of a new cable of better quality.
Also, it is obviously cheaply made. It gives the feeling that if you press it a little, it will break..

Receiver advertised as a PVR and only has 8 timer slots (while others have 32), and only offers the option to record "once" or "daily" (not weekly or weekdays), can only be considered a joke.
If you want it just to revive an old analog TV, go for it. The price for that is good. But if you want it for recordings, look somewhere else.
Read the reviews of previous users and I have to say that the machine is perfect and worth every penny and more. It is easy to use, has fast connection, good picture and sound. Additionally, the remote control has 4 buttons for copying TV functions, so you don't need 2 remote controls, it does everything from the decoder remote control. Also, if you turn it off, it shows the time on the screen. A very impressive machine
Everything is fine except for the learning function of the remote control that did not work on my 10-year-old Samsung TV.

I bought it for my father just so he can watch on his old TV that has loose legs and refuses to throw it away.
The only problem was that in the description it didn't say anywhere that it doesn't include a cable, so we had to run and find one. If it was written, we would have ordered a cable as well.
I bought the same one for a second time for another house and I continue to be very satisfied. Highly recommended.
I am the owner of 3 Legent HD8, undoubtedly it is the best decoder I have. The few negative comments written are not true. Below I will explain what I mean.
First of all, it is DVB-T2 H.265 Hevc technology, which means that it is compatible not only with the existing system but also with future systems, which have already been implemented in Europe in recent years.
The last one I recently bought, I connected it to an old 12-year-old Philips. During the first installation, it downloaded all the SD and HD channels, as well as all the regional ones. The channels play flawlessly, with excellent image quality, in 1080i_50 setting and with Auto setting in image display. Considering that it also downloaded channels from a distant transmitter, which broadcasts to another area, it means that its tuner is very powerful.
Here I should note the following: If some users experience freezing and pixelation in the image, this is purely due to their antenna, which has an issue and needs to be resolved.
The menu is user-friendly and very functional with a beautiful background. I didn't have difficulty finding any function.
I easily organized the channels in the desired order. The startup and channel switching are fast. The Info button is very useful as it displays concise and detailed information about the channel in a large window, without the need to press button combinations.
The Remote Control is excellent!! Firstly, it is large and comfortable for the elderly. It is designed in a way that you can easily handle it in complete darkness without seeing it!! It works from various angles and from a distance of 7 meters. The most important thing is that it has 5 additional copy buttons, so I copied the basic functions of the TV remote control (On/Off, Sound, and Output Source), and now I only use one remote control to turn on/off the TV and operate the decoder. Incredibly convenient!!
When it is closed, it shows the time on a large display, which is easily visible from a distance. Its power consumption when closed is below 0.5 Watt, almost negligible. On the front panel, it has 5 buttons, which are very useful in case the remote control malfunctions and until it is replaced.
At the back, it has HDMI and Scart connections, covering both old and newer TVs. It also has an IR port where we can connect a Mini USB cable to an IR-Led, and in this way, we can hide the decoder behind the TV so that it is not visible. However, I should note that this cable is not included in the package and is an extra cost.
It also has a USB port, where I connect a USB stick or hard drive and make recordings. I can watch one channel and record another channel of the same frequency. I can also make time-shifted recordings. I should note that it is preferable for the stick or the disk to be formatted in NTFS, so that it can record large files.
It played all my files, movies, etc. from my sticks and disks, in various formats such as .avi, mp4, mkv, ts, and recognized and played the .srt subtitles normally.
It has a Timeshift function, which allows you to pause a live program and later continue from where you left off.
I can also schedule it to record on a specific day and time that I want, and I can do this for 8 different programs on different days and times!
I should note here that in order to function smoothly, the stick or disk should have a writing speed of over 10mb/sec and a reading speed of over 100mb/sec, so take a look at the specifications of the stick or disk you have.
Its price is very low, it has never given me any problems, it doesn't freeze, disconnect, or break!! I don't know what else I need from a decoder. LEGENT and only LEGENT then!!
For 15 euros, it is excellent. It changes channels quickly, it makes proper recordings, and it plays videos from USB perfectly fine. It's annoying, though, that if you stop a video from USB, you have to start it from the beginning; it doesn't have a resume feature where you left off.
After 2 and a half months, it plays for 15 seconds and then freezes. If you want to see more than 15 seconds, you can unplug it and plug it back in
The first one I bought started to have image issues towards the end of the warranty, but thanks to the store's immediate response, they agreed to replace it. I am completely satisfied. There is no reason for someone to buy something more expensive to watch TV unless they want a specific function.
I can't understand what more expensive ones do better. I already have two and I ordered a third. It's very convenient to use only one remote control.
After a few months of use, I got a little desperate. One of the three I bought started to freeze. It doesn't "listen" to the main commands, changing channels and volume. The store sent me another remote control. After a few attempts, the same problem occurred. I assumed it was the receiver's fault. Yes, but it works with the remote control from another receiver. Conclusion? Insane asylum. They will send me a new one.
