Description

"There must be a clear distinction between finding objective truth and the art of achieving acceptance of our positions as true."

This edition includes 38 techniques commonly used in verbal disputes, with the ultimate goal of defending our claims and refuting the arguments of others, whether we are right or wrong.

From arguing with our partner, to conversations with friends, to exchanging opinions on social media, even in dialogue on television panels or in Parliament.

Although The Art of Always Being Right was written in the 19th century, this book is more relevant today than ever. Schopenhauer has been characterized as a cynical and pessimistic philosopher. And yet, his cynicism is not sterile and fatalistic, but contains a positive message: beyond all techniques, the truth may be found.

Useful techniques that you can apply in any conversation, even if you are wrong. The only thing I didn't like is the translation, because many times the meaning was lost and there were also many spelling and grammatical errors.
