Description

"I love my child," says a mother and constantly calls them. She says she does it out of love. "I want to see what they're doing, where they are." That is not reality. She does it because she can't bear for her child to slip away from her hands and open up to their own life. "Who are you with? Why are you late? Who is talking next to you, who is that?" It is suspicion and a sick relationship. That is not love. Love means giving, it means "I want you to spread your wings. I want what's best for you."

If you have true love, you only want what's best for the one you love. And you know what it does to your partner? It makes them love you even more. They won't let go of you. Why don't they let go? Because you let them. When you let someone let go of you, they won't let go. When you forcefully pull them, you become repellent. And you achieve the opposite. Love goes hand in hand with freedom. "I love you, and I let you be free, and I let you do whatever you want." And then you say: "With so much love you show me, you make me want you even more. Because you respect me."

God does this. He respects us every moment of our lives. And He loves us, like the light of the sun and like the rain, which falls everywhere. Every day the sun rises for the whole world, constantly reminding us of eternal divine love. When you see the sun shining, it's like Christ is telling you: "And today, I love you again, even if you were what you were yesterday. And today I give you the opportunity for new choices. And when My rain falls, it doesn't distinguish between good and bad. It refreshes everyone. It waters all the houses. All the fields. And yours...".
