The main reasons that gave me the idea to publish two collections of mine with Greek and foreign traditional songs as well as carols for choir are:
a. My great love for the combination of choir and tradition.
b. The lack of a wide repertoire of traditional music for choir with 2, 3, and 4 voices in the Greek music scene.
c. The fact that many of the songs and carols have already been performed by choirs.
d. The satisfactory interest that was shown for my first collection (1996).

I offer these 2 collections of mine to fellow choir conductors and singers who, with passion - and the known difficulties - strive for the interpretation and dissemination of polyphonic choral music, as well as to municipalities and other organizations that support choral ensembles with such goals.

The book contains a total of 100 pieces divided into 5 cycles:
I. Cycle - 54 Greek Traditional songs for mixed choir.
II. Cycle - 8 Greek Traditional songs for equal voices.
III. Cycle - 16 Foreign Traditional songs for mixed choir.
IV. Cycle - 4 Negro spirituals for mixed choir.
V. Cycle - 18 Greek Traditional Christmas and New Year carols for 2, 3, or 4 voices.
