The second edition of "Securities Law" records and analyzes the legislative and jurisprudential developments that have occurred since the first edition (2014), highlighting the recent trends in both well-known and newer issues. New forms of markets, which go beyond the traditional model of organized markets and transcend the distinction between financial and non-financial markets, as well as new forms of complex derivative products, have been added to the legislator's, both at the European and national level, field of interest. European initiatives known as "MiFID II package", MAD II, MAR, SRD II, Prospectus Regulation have, among other things, enriched Greek securities law with new regulations on its fundamental subjects, such as regulated markets, investment services, market abuse, prospectus, and corporate governance. These regulations have been incorporated into the securities law in a way that strengthens supervision at the expense of self-regulation and confirms the protection of the investor as the main legal objective. At the same time, even subjects for which there has been no legislative amendment, have undergone significant processing by national and European case law and theory. All these issues are included in the content of this book, which aims, in this way, to be an updated teaching tool for students, undergraduate and postgraduate, as well as a useful aid for those involved in this law, in any capacity.
