The purpose of the book is to present and analyze the theory and practical applications of Financial Management in an understandable way, so as to solve rather than create questions. It not only describes what the financial managers of a company do and why, but also how they should do it in order to maximize the value of their business.

The 2nd revised edition of the book, which was first published in 2008, is the result of an effort to reshape, enrich, update, and improve its content, with the aim of facilitating the reader's study. The great acceptance that the previous edition received from a large number of readers, besides being a special honor for the book, creates the obligation and the need for continuous improvement and updating. This is also accomplished by the present 2nd edition.

The 2nd edition, like the previous one, reflects the authors' experiences from their long career in teaching the theory and practice of Financial Management to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as to executives of businesses, and from their professional activity as executives and consultants of large companies and organizations.
