I come from the sharkoon skiller SGH1. I wanted something cheaper than the zeroground akechi pro, so I bought this one. These are my first impressions as I have only had them for 2 days.
Positives:
• Sound intensity. I can't hear music above 15-20 (0-100) on win10. It's really incredible how loud it is.
• Long and high-quality cable
• Comfortable cushions
• Decent software (it even has different modes that change your voice when you speak, called Voice Magic Function, and it has Boy, Girl, Monster, and Baby options)
Negatives:
• While the volume is loud, I feel like the sound is distorted. The higher the volume, the worse the sound quality becomes.
• Very average microphone (compared to the SGH1, which cost 25€, I expected something better)
• The 7.1 virtual surround, which was one of the reasons I chose it, is not what I expected coming from a stereo headset.
• One of the things that bothered me the most is the lighting. It only has 4 lighting options, which is acceptable. But in the option where you make the colors flash, it starts off fine, but after a while, the headset becomes chaotic. What do I mean? Specifically, one side can be red and the other rainbow, or one side can be dim and the other bright. If this happens, you can't adjust the lights completely. The only way to synchronize both sides is to disconnect the headset and then reconnect it. It may happen again after a while. I have had the lights completely off from the beginning so that it doesn't look bad.
• Weak bass
• Very tight on the head. Most people might think that it improves sound isolation, but it's not true. When you're not listening to music, the sound isolation is disappointing.
• For the observant ones, sometimes you can hear a low buzzing noise when they are turned off. Maybe you get used to it and it's not so annoying.
In general, either sharkoon did a great job with the SGH1, which I bought for 25€, or the Hatano 2.0 doesn't deliver what it promises and therefore is not value for money at 35€. I don't know! I also leave open the possibility that I may have received a defective product, as it is not the first time that Zeroground has done this with their products.
I repeat that this is my first impression. I will come back in a while to change or add something if necessary.
Edit 22/11/2020: After a while, I came back to add or change a few things. Firstly, the headphones have loosened up and are comfortable on the head after hours of use. Also, I started to perceive the 7.1 surround sound in games, and it greatly enhances the experience compared to a stereo headset. However, when you activate it while listening to music, you notice that the sound seems to have shifted only to one side of the headphones and the other side seems loose. Another thing I noticed is that if you wear them for a long time, unfortunately, you might start sweating a little on the ear. As for the lighting, I just left it on the rainbow effect since, as mentioned before, there is an issue with the color pattern. Lastly, don't expect anything impressive from the microphone at this price.
