The textbook is primarily aimed at teachers and students of electrical engineering and related disciplines, as well as mechanical engineers.
At the same time, it is a useful tool for any professional working in industrial facilities and production areas of electrically powered transportation.
It is the result of the author's many years of teaching at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology at the University of Patras.
It is organized in two parts, which describe the general concepts and basic elements of electromagnetism, as well as the constructional elements of transformers, direct current machines, synchronous and asynchronous machines, with the aim of understanding their structure.
At the end of each part, exercises and problems (with proposed solutions) are included for practical training.
