The graphics for its time are very good and the landscapes are very beautiful. The gameplay is very entertaining with the variety of weapons that Kratos has being more than satisfying. The detail in Kratos' movements, the characters, the places, and the ways he decapitates several gods, mortals, and monsters, is equally outstanding as the whole game.

Did you find this review helpful?I couldn't experience God of War III during the PS3 era, so I decided to buy the game on PS4 at a good price.
The title has been played many times, and on different difficulties. (+ Due to the platinum trophy)
POSITIVES:
1) Exceptional graphics. The detail of the areas, the characters, the quality that you can see in the enemies, the colors, EVERYTHING.
2) The gameplay. As a gamer who loves hack and slash, God of War III has one of the best combat systems in the series (For the Greek franchise), and in gaming until today. Many weapons, with addictive moves and executions against enemies, that puts you in a process to unlock all the weapon skills. You acquire the weapons at the right timing, and it doesn't get boring at all.
3) The soundtrack. WHAT EPIC MUSIC IS THIS. The melodies, the intensity, and the epicness with the help of boss fights not only make you love it but also not get tired of listening to it.
4) The chaos. If the word "epic" had a synonym, it would be called God of War III. What did the guys at Santa Monica do there? Even today, we don't often see such scale in boss fights. It's not one, not two. It's many!!! And you can't get enough. 10/10 WITH EMPHASIS.
5) The characters are okay. I can't say anything more because what you see is very obvious. You are more interested in beating up enemies. Yes, we love Kratos, he is a fully well-written character, with a tough past, and we see him fulfilling his desire.
6) Decent storyline.
NEGATIVES:
1) Storyline. If I could think of one flaw in the game, it would be the storyline. The reason is that it is 98% obvious. You know what will happen because this one-dimensional aspect of the character, and overall concept, doesn't give you an A-quality. I don't blame it, it fits the style, it just doesn't carry much weight.
Is the game worth it? Definitely. What is 10-15 euros to spend on an unforgettable experience? One of the best games of the PS3 that left its mark, comes to the consoles of PS4 and even PS5 (backwards compatibility).

Especially if you have a good sound system, you will be blown away by the music. Especially when Kratos goes to Hades, if you have a 65-inch TV with a soundbar, you will be amazed. The only downside is that in order to get all the awards, you have to go through some hardships. While I finished the main story, I went on to get the platinum trophy, it tired me out and I noticed it.

The music is flawless, the story is quite interesting, you fight gods of Olympus, titans, monsters... the controls are addictive and very easy to make combos with your weapons, which are extremely spectacular. One additional thing that I personally liked is that it is fast-paced and can be completed in about 10 hours. Personally, I always found it difficult to stay faithful to playing a game that requires 100 hours of gameplay to finish, at some point I would lose interest and give up. If I had to describe the game in 2 words - absolute carnage.

Very good graphics (for the time), an "okay" sound quality, and a (relatively) good story with a few plot holes but an exceptional plot twist at the end (I won't spoil it, those who have seen it know what I'm talking about). I recently played this version again, after having completed it twice on the PS3 version at launch. I am a huge fan of the franchise from the beginning. In my opinion, it is the best God of War that has been released. You truly feel like the god of war.
In the new GOW of 2018, although it is generally an exceptional game, as a God of War, not so much, as Kratos is heavy and slow and requires many hits to kill even the simplest enemies, which does not fit with a God of War who should "sweep" through his enemies.
The art direction in III is incredible, as well as the music and the battles with awesome moves and finishing moves.

This particular game, like the whole series, my friend who was a big fan had it. When I had the PS3, I saw her playing it. To tell the truth, I didn't like this kind of game with this gameplay, but she liked it and it reminded me of a prince of Persia game that she had in her collection and I had seen her playing. For me, it reminded me of the gameplay of a devil may cry game that I had added to my collection two years ago and I realized that it's not my style. As a story, it is excellent, flawless, the graphics as well, I have no criticism to make, but for me, I have noticed that in the past, whenever I would get a game, I would play it, now I struggle and get frustrated when a game gives me a hard time. My favorite from the entire God of War series. It is a masterpiece, but in my opinion, if someone who hasn't played the previous ones gets it, they might get a little confused with the story, so it's better to watch gameplay from the previous ones... I had played the game on PS3, as well as the No 1 & 2, of course!
All of them are great games.
I am writing this review because recently SONY gave out the third one as part of the monthly games it offers to its ps plus subscribers. So, I decided to play it a bit for fun and to remember the old times...
That was it. I remembered what a great game it was. And of course, I finished it once again! Within 5 minutes, the controls and the familiarity of the game make you feel like you have been playing it for hours. The story is very good and overall it's a game that you don't get bored with for a single moment!!!
We are talking about a game for the ps3, so the graphics and sound are at appropriate levels.
Relatively short in duration, depending on how each person plays it, an average of 8-10 hours on normal difficulty.

I don't have it yet, but I had it on the PS3. I have God of War on the PS4, and I have to say that maybe I like the gameplay of the third one more! Let me clarify some things because most of you are saying that you want without understanding the real essence. Well, the game, as the title says, is a remaster of the PS3 game, the differences it has are evident in its resolution (720p->1080p) and the increased frames to 60fps. Therefore, the content is more distinguishable and the gameplay feels more "alive". Other than that, it is flawless in all aspects and gives you a little taste of the next gen on the PS4.

So, I had this game on my PS3 and this month, September 2018, it was given as a gift to the subscribers of PS Plus. Every month they give away some games and this one was given for September. It's a nice game, although for me, the remastered version they claim doesn't hold true... it's exactly the same as before! But it didn't bother me at all! It's a game that everyone should play! Incredible game! It takes you to a world influenced by Greek mythology with a story full of action, violence, blood, gore, monsters, beautiful puzzles, and a fantastic environment. The sound and visual effects and the gameplay are not like a game from 2010! The only flaw I found was the limited use of the camera. I had never played God of War in the past, and with the release of the new one on PS4, I decided to start with GOW3, the only one released in remastered version. The only question that remains is how the character is alive in the new game, which is supposed to be a continuation of GOW3, as he died at the end...
