Fiberglass frame

The frame made of fiberglass is a common choice for the construction of camping tents. It is a lightweight and durable material, made from fiberglass fibers that are usually coated with polyester to protect them from water and moisture.

Fiberglass is flexible, so the frame can be lightweight and flexible to support the tent fabric.

What does the feature Polyester 190T mean?

It is an indicator for comparing the durability of two fabrics made from the same material

T means Thread which refers to fiber, and the number reveals the sum of the vertical and horizontal fibers in a square inch of fabric (see photo). The larger the Thread, the denser the weave and the greater the durability of the fabric.

What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?

The waterproofing of a tent indicates how much water its outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical water column (and thus pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.

The higher the waterproofing rating, the less breathable the fabric is, and thus the warmer the tent. Common waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10,000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent may have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.

    This review is about the colour: Green

    I used it for the first time this year on a camping trip for 11 days and a little later for another 5. We slept very comfortably inside with two people for half of the days and three people for the rest (average height). Its quality is excellent for its price and it is easy and quick to set up and take down. Its fabric is waterproof and can easily withstand a summer rain without taking in a significant amount of water. However, based on my limited experience with rain, I don't believe the seams would withstand a long, heavy rain. Of course, as a summer tent, it may not matter that much; it's unlikely that something so extreme would happen. The most important thing is that it has windows and screens all around, making it really cool inside. It seems like it will last for many summers; I highly recommend it!
