It holds its position firmly. So firmly that, if I push it hard, I think the base will detach from the desk while it "refuses" to easily change the angle of the neck.
Pay attention to tightening the base clamp. It can withstand quite a bit of tightening, but there is a risk of breaking (and rendering the product useless) if you tighten it too much. Tighten it enough so that it stands firmly during large oscillations (with the phone on top) to ensure its grip, even if it gives the impression that it can be tightened further (if you hear a crack, it will be too late).
The phone does not stay completely stable in its position. Do not expect that. When we touch the phone, there are vibrations. This is natural and expected. However, the vibrations of this specific base are small and can be accustomed to.
If you want something completely stable, then do not buy a base that uses a flexible neck (like this one) but get one with adjustable arms.
As a company, I am familiar with awei and I do not have a good opinion at all. I decided to make an exception and buy this stand in the hope of changing my mind. In vain. As soon as I put it on and turned my phone, the stand broke immediately without me applying any pressure at all. The product is terrible and so is this company, it's a shame.
P.S. If it were possible, I would give it 0 stars or even less
Unfortunately, completely useless product. The arm is extremely inflexible, so it doesn't go where you want it to. The worst part is that when you put your phone on it, the base can't hold the weight, causing the screen to tilt downwards. Therefore, you can't see anything, and of course, nobody can see you if you're on a call. Unfortunately, it just flew off straight away!
Quite good construction for its price, it is a bit hard, but it needs to be like that in order for the device to be stable. It is fine.
It was affordable, so I am lenient. The arm is not long enough, it also moves and the mobile phone is quite heavy, so it is difficult to stabilize it high. I recommend giving something more and getting a better product.
As for the quality, I would say it is very good for the money, no doubt about it. Now, on my own phone weighing about 212 grams, it is quite stable, I believe it will have no issues. Its spiral is very hard, it must be in order to have its stability.
Initially, I relied on comments that I read here on skroutz since I had no idea which base to choose. Specifically, someone wrote that the base is so stable that they almost broke it in their attempt to move the arm. It is really exactly like that. It takes a lot of force to move the arm, which means it is very stable!!! Of course, it oscillates during use, but its position does not change. It has a sturdy construction, but be careful with the plastic clamp that attaches to the bench, as it is plastic and can break if too much pressure is applied. Overall, it is definitely worth its money!!!
Don't be fooled by the pictures. The construction is very fake, if you tighten it a little, the point that secures it will break. Also, when you put the phone on top, it will shake like crazy, it has no stability at all. Stay away, I made a mistake.
After a few weeks of use, the clamp that holds the arm broke. This happened because it was made of plastic, so it struggles with every movement. Other than that, it is a good and rigid arm, worth buying if you handle it gently and don't overestimate it
It may look like Chinese, but it's not! The folding iron and the holder where the device is placed are very sturdy and robust, maybe even for large tablets/iPads. So it comfortably holds any mobile device
For a stable position, it is very good. It is not as flexible as one might think by looking at the pictures, but it holds the phone and tablet in a stable position with great comfort. Of course, it oscillates during use, but its position does not change. I use it at the office so that I can have my devices at eye level without bending my neck.
Stable, quite hard, not flexible enough to easily change position, but for me, this works as I prefer stability. I have had it for over a year and it does its job perfectly fine.

For the money, it has decent stability
Useless, the clip of the base broke on the second day.

The grip base is made of plastic that breaks easily. It stayed in my hands when I tightened it.

Poor construction and the phone shakes when it is on the base. I would not recommend it to you

Not at all stable, the mobile is very cheap and does not have enough opening of the clamp.

It does exactly what it says and for the reason it is purchased. Basically, good durability construction.
