We used the newborn support flexi bath as it is (and not in combination with the flexi bath). We placed it directly in the bathroom sink (but be careful, obviously it's not suitable for all sinks). It worked very well for us, we used it from newborn to several months old. On the contrary, the flexi bath did not help us at all.
