I belong to the readers of Schopenhauer, who, after reading the first page of his work, know with certainty that they will read them all and that they will listen to every word.
Schopenhauer never tries to show off: he writes for himself. However, no one wants to be deceived, least of all the philosopher for whom it is a law: do not deceive anyone, not even yourself! Sometimes Schopenhauer's expression reminds me a little of Goethe, because he knows how to say the profound simply, the fascinating without rhetoric, the strictly scientific without pedantry.
