The research and recording of the games played by the ancient Greeks and Byzantines holds many surprises for us. First and foremost, the importance that games had in everyday life, not only for children but also for adults; then, the variety, inventiveness, and imagination that distinguished them, and above all, how many of these games have reached our days, which we have played and continue to play. Chess, backgammon, dice, tic-tac-toe, checkers, swing, hopscotch, ball, dolls were played by our ancestors.

By researching sources from 3,200 years ago, 150 games were recorded. An exciting journey through space and time, which is at the same time an unpredictable game for the reader and the researcher who dared to undertake it.
