  An alternative option to Mitchell's Wool Fat, with the difference that it is smaller and quite softer.

  Otherwise, it provides quick and strong lathering, satisfactory glide, and some level of post-shave feel.

  Can it compete with artisan soaps? No.

  A soap that anyone who shaves traditionally would try out of simple curiosity. My own experience finds it indifferent and probably negative in use. For the past month and a half, I have exclusively shaved with this "to get rid of it". During this period, it was a challenge to achieve satisfactory foam 2-3 times. When I added a little more water, the foam became watery, while with a few drops on the brush, the razor did not glide. Personally, I will not buy it again for use, only for the one with the metal tin for my collection.

  It is the third one I ordered. The first time I bought 2 pieces, if I remember correctly, they were 5 and something euros each. Each one lasts about 3-4 months, so I consider it quite economical (as a good practice, after use, you can leave it on a dry bathroom sponge so it dries without sticking and melting).
  Due to its small size, a small brush is preferable to the larger ones, which also do the job but consume more soap and are not as focused on the soap.
  Personally, I have found the Simson Alexander Trafalgar T1 perfect.
  Its scent is simple, not intense, but that's what I want from a shaving soap.
  It creates foam VERY quickly, softens the beard nicely, and the razor glides very well. After shaving, your skin feels nice and clean without irritation. With the Muhle R41, I can shave every 2 days without ANY IRRITATION. I can't say that about any other product except (maybe) for Mitchell's Wool Fat, which is of the same philosophy but a hard soap.
  There are soaps on the market with prices above 35-40€, which may be better. My experience with soaps from well-known Italian and American companies priced at 18-26€, 100g, is that they simply do not have the advantages of Haslinger, but they have a strong scent, and that's why they create such a buzz.
  I highly recommend it.

  **Regarding its lifespan, you should take into consideration that it is a relatively soft soap. If you want it to last longer, after wetting your face with warm water, rub it directly on the beard and then use the brush to create the foam on your face. You don't need much. With a small amount, the foam is enough for 3 shaves, and avoid using a shaving bowl. If you don't wet the soap too much and keep it on a dry surface (e.g., a dry bathroom sponge), it will last a very long time, possibly more than 60 shaves/4 months with shaving every other day. With a quantity of about half a gram, the foam will be more than enough for 3 shaves.
