Twelve centuries of existence were erased by the Olympic Games in Ancient Greece, and many were the athletes who participated in them, gaining honor and glory.
One of the names that triumphed, was adored, and remained in the history of the Olympic Games, was Diagoras of Rhodes, a famous boxer who with his steel fist won the title of invincible in all the games he participated in. He was crowned Olympic champion in the 79th Olympiad, won again in Pythia, twice in Nemea, four times in Isthmia, as well as in many local games. His descendants remained in History for their achievements and victories, even in Olympics, while his daughter Callipatera became famous for her effort to secretly enter the Olympia stadium and watch her son compete, an action that almost cost her life. Worthy descendants carried Diagoras even in the last moments of his life, when he took his last breath in the hands of his sons and in a crowded stadium that applauded him.
