Once upon a time in ancient Greece, people banished Peace. And War reigned, bringing misfortune, tears, hunger, and unhappiness. War delighted in the evil it caused, while Peace wept, until a poet from Athens, Aristophanes, wrote a comedy to help everyone understand what War means, so that they would not fight again, and so that they could always live in harmony with Peace. Aristophanes wrote about Trygaeus, an Athenian vine-dresser who became desperate and ascended to Mount Olympus, the abode of the gods, to seek help from Zeus. With the help of everyone, he managed to unearth Peace, to bring back happiness, laughter, joy, and song. He managed to make the children smile, to bring Peace back!
