Description

In 2010, the newspaper Ta Nea published the series "Byzantine Emperors," a revelation of Greece and the Greeks of yesterday and today. My decision to rewrite about the already extensively written Byzantine Empire by experts is based on the small note that has been made about its overall contribution to humanity.

It is the evolution of Greek Civilization in the Greek colony of Megara, Byzantium, which evolved into the capital of the Roman and later the first Christian Byzantine Emperor Constantine, from a Greek mother. The City that elevated Christianity to the official religion of the empire and of the Western world. A religious and cultural empire that, three hundred years after Christ, tried to acquire everything that was given to it by Emperor Constantine the Great. Its leadership, the support of religion, and its freedom in its eternal introversion. Although it was never imperialistic or proselytizing, it was "adopted" by the entire Western world, which considered it an unattainable model. It ascended to the Heavens with its saints, with its descendants all over the world, for the Evangelical message to dominate globally, and with its wonderful Greek language reminding us that it was us, the Greeks, who created it peacefully. Christ himself said it when he realized that he was surrounded by Greeks, "Now the Son of Man is glorified."
