The main goal of this book is for the reader, who will wander through its pages, to get to know the nature and "peculiarities" of the global ocean that covers three-quarters of the surface of our planet and is the cradle of life.

However, today the global ocean is directly related to a series of global environmental problems. We are already witnessing the impacts of global warming, the "ozone hole", El Niño, overfishing, and pollution of the marine environment. These overshadow our lives and undermine the future of future generations. Understanding and addressing these issues are also among the goals of this book.
