This book aims to support the first course of General Relativity for undergraduate or beginner graduate students of Physics, with a quantitative treatment that approaches the completeness of a Classical Mechanics or Electromagnetism course. The approach emphasizes the physical aspects of the theory and the connection between theory and observations, while the necessary mathematics are initially introduced as "tools" of physical phenomena and then presented with pedagogical completeness. With these tools, a quantitative study of all the characteristic physical results of General Relativity is achieved.
An integral part of the book consists of a large number of exercises with (over) sufficient hints, so that the reader can complete calculations that enhance the understanding of the topics under study.
