[...] This book is an introduction to the subject of probability theory and statistics for university students of engineering or other sciences. While most of the methods we present are fundamental and essential for probabilistic analysis and other directions, we have chosen to focus more on engineering-oriented interests. We believe that this approach will better serve engineering students and captivate them in many applications of probability and statistics in their field. Great effort has been made for most of the examples, exercises, and problems to be of engineering content from the real world, which were taken from a modern literature of probabilities and statistics for engineers or from my own experience of applying probability methods to engineering problems.
