The articles published in this volume are interventions in church and social events of the 1995-2015 period. The title of the book "Control of Things" reflects the critical examination and diagnosis of the events of this period. The author's attitude towards "things" is critical, but not controlling or dismissive. The articles collected in this volume address contemporary church and social reality in a positive and creative way. The perspective and filter of the church tradition offer the reader a recording of "what is seen" through the perspective of "what is not seen". Ultimately, it is a practical demonstration of episcopal responsibility, an intervention that testifies that theology is not confined to the most important things nor does it come into conflict with social events, but is justified only as a state and way of life.
