It is clear that the Union is in a "transition process", but its orientation is not clear. Regarding its strategy, it is estimated that despite the steps that have been taken, the primacy of the US (and NATO) will lead to the decline of the Union's autonomous actions.

If we use chemistry terminology, on one hand, Europe is the atom, and on the other hand, in history, certain countries constitute its ("hard") core, while other countries function as protons and neutrons, forming this core. However, there are also others that revolve as electrons around this core and complete the atom. Throughout the centuries, the center of the core, the position of the protons and neutrons, as well as the electrons, have been determined differently in each state.

The challenge for the Greek state, whose values, ideas, and principles as an ancient Greek civilization are the "quarks" of the "European atom", lies in whether it will continue to be an active member state of the European family, in whatever form the Union has or will take in its political integrity.
