For several years now, I prefer it for everyday use, it has endured incredible torture and has held up decently! As for comfort, I have only one thing to say... With over 5km (at least) of daily walking, it is one of the few (almost the only one) that does not tire me at all, nor do I have any pain in my feet, calves, etc. I don't just recommend it, I highly recommend it!
I use them daily at my job and they continue to... squeak while walking!!! Tragic... I have never seen this before...
Very stylish, classic 90s vibe, but bad sole that squeaks as if you have stepped in water and are walking on a floor that sounds annoyingly. I changed the shoes as defective and after 2 months the new ones are doing the same... Nike is a scam
They look nice and warm, but they are not comfortable to walk in since they are hard and the sole doesn't help much. It bothered me that the glue is visible on the shoe, where the sole meets the upper part.
I used them for three years and now I will buy another pair, they were perfect. They even helped me at work.
Attention to the shoe code.
There are two forms of Nike Air Monarch IV.
One normal and one wide version.
The normal ones are those with code 415445- (and 3 more digits depending on the color)
And the wide ones are those with code 416355- (and 3 more digits depending on the color).
The shoes, even in the normal version, are generally "chunky", so in the wider version ... imagine.
Some stores now mention the difference in the description (as "very wide"), but for safety, pay attention to the code listed.
As a sneaker fanatic and having gone through many pairs of sneakers, my opinion on the shoe (in the normal version 415445-102) is as follows.
Beautiful classic shoe, with the nickname best dad's shoes, for the obvious reason that it is aimed at older customers.
However, it is not the most comfortable shoe for long walks or wearing it for many hours, for example in a job that requires movement and posture.
For a walk that requires less walking, it's fine.
It is somewhat heavy (not as heavy as it looks) you "feel" it on your foot, and if you haven't chosen the absolutely right size, it may hurt you a little or on the contrary be loose. But shoes forgive small deviations in size selection.
Overall, an older person who wants a more comfortable walking shoe may make better choices for that money.
However, I will give it 5 stars, because for the reason it exists, it is a good choice, and its construction quality is not bad. Whether it is beautiful is subjective.
Whether it is VFM, depends on the period you will buy it. I have seen it from 40€ to 75€.
At 40€ you don't even think about it. Maybe up to 60€.

I expected them to be more comfortable... The construction is very bulky and they are uncomfortable to walk in. I really expected something better. If you haven't seen them up close, don't choose them. They are good in terms of quality, but they are not practical
Terrible construction, after three weeks they started squeaking in both shoes, and they have also caused damage to my feet, resulting in walking and pain for no reason. Waste of money
Good but wide construction. After 3 months of use, they started squeaking when walking. Annoying and not fixable, resulting in me not being able to use them
After a few days, the right air cushion started squeaking. What a shame. Otherwise, they are very comfortable. I have heard from others about the squeaking as well. If it doesn't bother you, it's okay.
One of the best in its category. More beautiful than air max with better cushioning. I got them in black. Unfortunately, I read the reviews and got them half a size bigger and they were too big for me, so I returned them and got my regular size.
2nd time I buy them, sturdy and comfortable shoe (the first pair lasted 3.5 years) I would say to prefer half a size larger than your usual size

Personally, I was looking for an everyday and comfortable shoe. During the summer, I worked as a waiter, walking 16-17 hours every day, and it never tired me. I had sprained my ankle, and these shoes were a lifesaver because of their comfort and width. Although I bought the white ones, they didn't get as dirty as I expected. I clean them occasionally with a wet wipe, and they look like new. They are warm shoes (a bit problematic in the summer), even when riding a motorcycle. I would definitely buy them again.
Flawless shoe, in my opinion it is the best. I bought a new pair because the old one lasted for 3 years, playing basketball and getting muddy. It will last for years, the sole doesn't wear out and the leather won't peel off, just be careful not to scratch it (like all shoes). Also, it is beautiful and comfortable after 3-4 wears until it finds the perfect fit on the foot.
P.S. I gave it 4 stars because in the second pair, after 2-3 months, they started squeaking loudly
After almost 5 years of almost daily use, I decided to buy them again due to a small tear that I have attached in the picture, and this is because I stepped on an iron rod. The laces have not been damaged either. In my opinion, these shoes are worth more than enough! And because I am a lover of sports shoes and I have many pairs in general, I consider them to be one of the most durable compared to some that are more expensive and have better design.
It is a unique shoe, ugly and bulky, but comfortable for everyday wear. They lasted almost two years of daily use, so yes, they are durable
Although I know that my size in Nike is 45.5 and even though the shoe was available in my size, I can't understand how I ordered size 45! However, with the laces a little loose, it is comfortable and the construction is sturdy. (The above applied at the time of purchase... unfortunately, 7 months later I can't continue to support them. And the reason is only one. While I used them sparingly (having 6 other pairs) and they were seemingly in very good condition, one day the right shoe tore... at the point where it enters the sole and there is the seam, it simply tore!!! It hadn't found anywhere, it hadn't been scratched, it hadn't touched anything on top of it... I was just walking and it tore!! Poor quality? Second grade? I can't know, but what I do know is that I threw away a brand new seemingly pair in the trash.)
Very good quality shoe, a little bulky but worth its money, doesn't slip, will definitely buy it again, be careful, take it one size larger.
It is hard and durable like a shoe, it looks like a sports shoe but I don't think it would do the job for sports. I got them for my office job. They are comfortable for the 10 hours that I wear them.
Quite heavy and chunky shoe. Unfortunately, it doesn't suit me at all, the only good thing is its nice appearance.
They are comfortable, warm, perfect for winter, waterproof, and personally, I like that they have volume.
Very comfortable and gives a feeling that the foot is resting on a pillow. The problem is that they make noise, like all monarchs. I will apply baby powder and will come back to increase the rating if the issue is resolved.
Edit: After more than two weeks, the powder seems to be doing the job and the known noise is not heard at all.
Edit 2: It has been about 3 months and I haven't needed to apply powder again. I have used them in mud and rain.
Edit 3: 1 year and something later, everything is perfect.
So listen, if you care about the health of your feet, then NO. If you don't care, then everything is fine. I have been wearing them for a long time and I have reached the point where injury is very easy to occur without you doing anything wrong. So be careful, this has also happened to a friend of mine who had the exact same shoes
Very good shoe, I have had them for a few months and I think they are perfect for spring and winter.
Positives:
+ Overall very warm, especially for winter you won't have a problem
+ Very nice (I got it in white-red-black)
+ High quality, it has leather so it seems difficult to easily get wet
+ Very cheap (I found it for 55 euros)
Negatives:
- The only issue I had (personally) is that the right one made a strange sound when I stepped on it as if it was new, but I have had them for months. With a little searching, I found an easy solution (see on YouTube how to stop shoe squeaking), you just put a little WD.
For the office or for indoor work without much standing, it's OK. For activities with a lot of movement, standing, or even worse, for sports, forget it. I don't even know why they are categorized as "athletic". I bought them for winter daily walking in an outdoor environment. I walked with them for about 10 days. That's it. I kept them for the office and for going to a casual coffee with friends or something like that. They are not athletic, they are not for heavy use. They hurt my feet.
