I admit that I only use it on carpets and not with the classic attachment for sweeping, but with the brush specifically designed for carpets that collects dust, hair, and everything else! It is bulky and it gives me a hard time, but it does its job... If you don't want cords and to drag a vacuum behind you, get a stick vacuum to save yourself... When that stick vacuum breaks, I will prefer one that can be charged!
