It was purchased 1-5 years ago on sale... At first, it had a strange smell but after a little coffee spill, it never cleaned properly... Then it turned white where the mouse rolled and after washing, it constantly released something like white powder... It also stuck to the desk and literally started to dissolve... Did you find this review helpful?To start, I have bought it twice (with a few years apart) on sale for about €10. As you can understand, the first time I was very satisfied. If I can find a negative, it is the fact that it turned yellow at the mouse area after several months. I turned it 180 degrees and... it turned yellow again after a few more months. In a year and a half, I got the second one, which is clearly worse:
- It smells strongly of rubber, and the first one had a smell too, but after being outside for a week, it became tolerable and eventually barely noticeable. The second one still smells after months.
- The padding is different, so it slips slightly if you put pressure on it.
- The main surface is also different, and it scratches relatively easily.
I would give 4.5-5 stars to the "old" one and two to three stars to the second one, with the main issue being the unbearable smell. For now, I am using the first one and have the second one hanging on the clothesline for a few months - without much hope - so I am looking for an odorless one, if you know of any large ones (600mm+), I am all ears.edit: After waiting for months for the smell of the second one to go away, unfortunately, I had to throw it in the recycling - it kept smelling more and more like it had rotted... :-(

The mouse scrolling is good. BUT it gets dirty very easily, so I wouldn't buy it again... It gets stained with the slightest thing and I was really tired of cleaning it. No mouse pad and I was relieved! (Depending on the desk surface, of course) I, who play csgo which is a demanding game in terms of mouse and mouse pad, found that I play better without it. I would only want it for the nice appearance it gives to the desk, but just the thought of having to clean it again and again... NO

Did you find this review helpful?I have had it for 3.5 years. I have used it very roughly, beyond the usual, I made electronic connections and other tasks. It lasted much longer than I expected. The problem it eventually had is that the rubber melted under the seam on the side where the hands touch and it releases a black substance that sticks to the desk. But again, considering the use I made of it, it is more than what I would expect from any mouse pad. Another thing that I generally didn't like is that it stains easily. Even in the beginning when I took care of it, where the hand touched and the mouse rubbed, it would get dirty. At first, I washed it by hand two or three times, but from a certain point on, it wouldn't clean anymore, so I started mistreating it more and more. Anyway, it is very high quality and, for me, it is worth the extra 5-6 euros compared to similar ones that cost 10 euros.

The mouse glides very smoothly and lightly, infinitely better than previous mousepads I had. Additionally, it has a thicker thickness than usual, I would say it is spongy, and the fabric is very soft, all of which make it very comfortable for the hands. I haven't stained the fabric much, only with a little ash which easily comes off. The seams it has around the edges are also a positive feature, preventing any damage or tearing. I recommend it 100-0.

Did you find this review helpful?Owner of the product for three years, so I believe I can now give a comprehensive opinion. First of all, I must say that the purchase price was €9.90.
Its current condition is simply impeccable, truly as if it was bought yesterday. There are no damages on its surface, seams, or even the material it rests on the desk. I am generally careful with my movements, not in the sense that I will think about how I move my hands so as not to damage the mouse pad, but in the sense that I do not consider myself particularly clumsy. Nevertheless, I expected some wear and tear after three years of use, which does not exist.
Its surface is quite slippery, as others have mentioned, something which I personally prefer. The feel has not changed after three years, and I believe that if someone really wants this type of mouse pad, this particular one can easily satisfy them without having to spend five times the amount. Personally, when it eventually gives out, which I believe will happen many years later given how things are going, I would buy the same one again, provided that it is still available then.As for cleaning it, I clean it from dust with an anti-static cloth, occasionally with a damp cloth and once every 1-1.5 years with hand washing. I soak it in the bathtub, sprinkle powdered detergent on it, and scrub it gently with my hand or a soft brush. I have washed it this way three times and we are both satisfied.
As for the smell, as far as I remember, it had a smell for a few days in the beginning, but I do not consider it a problem. If yours has a smell too, leave it on a balcony overnight and it will definitely be in much better condition the next day. Just make sure you don't look for it on the street.
Overall, to not drag on any longer, and because I believe it has been fully understood that I am completely satisfied, I recommend it. I usually don't give 5 stars to my purchases, but this one deserves it. Compared to more expensive and smaller options like SteelSeries, Roccat, and such that I had in the past, I prefer it in all aspects.

It does not move at all from its position and the mouse glides very smoothly. The only 'minus' is that its surface can leave marks if scratched, although this does not affect its functionality. As some have mentioned, over time it does leave black pieces and sticks to the desk as if the bottom part is melting, but this was observed after 2-3 years and in areas that are not heavily used. As a small tip, when I bought the second identical product, I placed it directly on top of the old one, and after 4 years it still looks brand new without any wear on the bottom. Cleaning it with wet wipes or disinfectant wipes from the market, nothing special.

However, although it lasted about 1.5 years without any issues, after that, I started noticing that it was leaving rubber marks on the desk where I had it placed. About 2.5 years later, it is almost destroyed on the bottom side (the one that "touches" the desk) and constantly leaves sticky pieces of melted rubber on the desk. -Note that I am not heavy-handed, quite the opposite, I was very careful with it- It was worth the money for me, despite the problems I encountered, however, if the exact same product came out with better specifications, I would gladly pay an extra 20€ to continue using it.

One thing I have to say: flawless, exactly what I needed for my office, I am extremely satisfied! I would definitely buy it again, because a) it has a very large size, b) it fits perfectly on the glass surface of my 150x80cm desk, and c) my mouse glides perfectly on the surface of the mousepad. As a long-time owner of the steelseries Qck+, I can say that the genesis mousepad doesn't fall behind in any way. When my steelseries pad eventually wore out, I gave this one a chance since I wanted a cheap XL mousepad (this size is useful if you play with low dpi <400, otherwise go for medium-large). I can say that this mousepad pleasantly surprised me; it is of excellent quality in terms of materials and weaving. It comes in a hard tube packaging that makes you wonder how you can get the mousepad in this case for only 12 euros! One last thing, the genesis mousepad behaves more like a speed mousepad, not so much control. In other words, the mouse "glides" a bit more easily and quickly on it (compared to the steelseries, for example), but I didn't find this to be a problem anywhere, nor is it very noticeable in gaming.
