Everyone loves satire-except those being satirized. In Greece, every satirical writer risks exhaustion because even titanic efforts are unable to describe the daily happenings of a country that is an endless theatrical stage, where millions of people engage in the participatory creation of a work that could be called "Hellenic frenzy". From the multitasking Archbishop showman, to the Turk-eaters and retired neo-Macedonian fighters of the channels, and from the incessantly profiting and profited citizens to the passages of ferocious 4X4 vehicles through the alleys of Kolonaki, Greece is searching for an identity - with or without religion - that it has not yet been able to discover. We disdain politics and television by choosing, through voting and channel surfing, their worst versions. And when something goes wrong, we look for conspirators and conspiracies that supposedly conspire against us. The "Neo-Hellenic Satirical Dictionary" contains 1,125 entries. I hope they entertain you and provoke you...
