Review this product
  • I chose this particular flash due to its smaller size compared to most available flashes. From this perspective, I am extremely satisfied.

Its power is generally considered satisfactory. Sufficient power for event photography with bounce and not necessarily directly on the subject.

I did not give it 5 stars because it proved to be selective with batteries. Maybe it's just my unit, but you will find many references to similar power supply issues. With branded batteries and charger, I had reliability issues. It would work fine one time, then shut off after 2 flashes, or not turn on at all, etc. Overall, a huge insecurity that is not considered acceptable.

Finally, through thorough testing, I found pairs of batteries that I have and consistently work. I want to emphasize that the batteries must be inserted in specific positions and not reversed, because then there are power supply problems again.

In conclusion, when I couldn't find a way to make it work consistently, it was simply annoying and a huge headache. When it functions properly, it is simply perfect.

Lastly, I express the belief that if there was a similar flash model with a rechargeable battery, when I wanted to buy this, I would probably end up with the one with the rechargeable battery to avoid all the above-mentioned problems.

  • Very good flash and cheap for its quality. Although I've only had it for a few days, I highly recommend it without reservation.

Very good flash from a reliable company. Generally small in size, good build quality, and quite affordable for what it offers. Before settling on this one, I watched several reviews on YouTube that recommended it and also took into account the opinion of a professional who suggested I choose Godox. I should mention that I am an amateur photographer and I believe that this flash is perfect for someone who wants something more in terms of lighting without crazy demands. I find the optical trigger in slave mode to be a very good feature, which may make the purchase of the wireless trigger Godox X1 unnecessary for me. It is quick to recharge and easy to use. I am very satisfied and highly recommend it.

    UPDATE 17/03/2020
After many attempts, I had difficulty using the optical trigger with the built-in flash in an open space.. and I realized that the infrared radiation may be diffused enough without being detected by the flash's optical sensor (I'm not saying that the flash has an issue.. definitely not, because everything works fine in a closed space). I simply ended up purchasing the wireless trigger Godox X1T and I can say that now I can comfortably trigger up to 5 flashes wirelessly. I truly reconsider my opinion that the wireless trigger is unnecessary.
